Since he ask, here's some tanking tips from my guild's warrior class master. We call him "Master Gnome". He plays in Singapore where he sometimes faces the same latency problems as what we do in Malaysia.
Hope this helps you Kings83.
Rage == Threat
The main reason why bears can generate threat much better than warriors is not actually due to their higher dps, but because they get rage much more easily (bear formula for rage generation is different from warriors, they get more rage from attacking whereas a warrior's main source of rage is getting hit).
This is the reason why I do not spec into Cruelty like most protection warriors, and instead spec into talents that make your moves cost less (Improved Heroic Strike, Improved Sunder Armor, Focused Rage) and talents for quick or passive rage gain (Anger Management, Improved Bloodrage)
Expertise rating > Hit rating > Block value (long fights) Block value > Expertise rating > Hit rating (trash)
Some people puzzle over why I use green/blue quality items to tank occasionally when I have an epic in the same slot. Big shield slams help to generate quick threat so DPS can start quickly on trash and we can go on to the real thing.
Shield Slam -> Revenge -> Devastate (3-move tanking rotation)
This is different from the usual 4 move rotation that most forum posts indicate. The reason for this is the high ping that we have from our Oceanic location to the US servers (my ping is about 600ms). Doing a 3-move rotation that prioritizes Shield Slam (which is our highest threat move) actually works out to more threat overall.
Heroic Strike is your friend
Many people underestimate the threat generation of Heroic Strike. Heroic Strike actually generates about the same amount of threat as Revenge, and is off the global cooldown, which means you can combine it with another move such as Sunder for even more threat generation. It's separate cooldown allows you to tank multiple mobs.
These is what I do when tanking 3 mobs for instance (Skull, X, triangle)
Shoot X -> Pop Bloodrage -> Tab to Skull -> Shield Slam Skull -> Tab to Triangle -> Heroic Strike Triangle -> Thunderclap -> Tab to X -> Heroic Strike X -> Tab to Skull -> Revenge Skull ....
A lot of abilities to use in about 6 seconds, which brings me to my next point:
Keybindings
I bind all my commonly used abilities to keys easily within reach so I can hit them intuitively. YMMV, but this is what I use.
ESDF for movement 2 = Disarm 3 = Heroic Strike 4 = Shield Slam 5 = Revenge R = Devastate G = Taunt A = Shield Block W = Intervene Q = Spell Reflect
Macro your trinkets
Many people like to pop on-use trinkets at certain phases in a boss fights to burn things down quickly but I find that I use them better if I macro them to my abilities such as Shield Slam and Revenge.
It ensures that I use them every time the cooldown is up. It works out better for me especially since it is very difficult to track the cooldown when things get hectic. I have gone through boss fights only to find out that my trinkets were not used at all in a 10min fight just because I was too busy.

I need the imp demo atm becos i'm 5 man-ing heroics more than i raid. (my guild won't take me to raids ) I have no comments on cruelty... btw, critique my current gear (ignore my MH axe plz, that's not my tanking axe) edit: my tanking axe is grom'tor's charge... which will put me at 502 def rating and 12709 hp. 1. The 5 points in demo shout would be better off placed in imp bloodrage, imp taunt, 5/5 1h specialization. You could prolly go with something like this http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classe...0330101035313512. Your gear hasnt changed much since the last time I saw it. You should prolly revisit the old thread. Also, gromtors charge is a lousy tanking weapon replace it asap! lol

With the latest patch, you can get the 3rd level upgrade by yourself w/out a guild. Just buy the Primal Nethers, Nether Vortexes.

*Offtopic: The first time i saw that jpeg somewhere on the net.. i went all wide-eyed. Funniest shit ever. But think about it, it is somewhat true. Its a joy reading people's posts and threads around here. *Always* puts a smile on my face. Very "accessible" eh.
*Ontopic: Good tanking tips in general. Should get any new tanker up to decent standards.
