only possible option would be puncture bolt which is subpar T.T
*

QUOTE(evofantasy @ May 22 2008, 03:37 PM)
actually the new build of larks and secret techs makes them even vs faeries so faeries lost its upper hand somehow...
and besides they normally pack whispmare sb...
for lark matchups u can check it out wit hari...

btw dragon claw dont work in RDW mirrors anymore since many RDW SBs smash to smitereens (destroy artifact deal 3 damage?)
btw mark vs most control decks, a resolved magus of the moon normally means game...
*
i think its unlikely they'll sb it in g2? so g2 in g3 out IF theres a g3.

no prob jz make sure ur name is on MTG.com during the coverage lol...

@heretic
during the regionals, i saw lark playes playing it vs faeries and its been known quite a while on other mtg forums where the lark deck has been made to counter faeries...
of course it is a sideboard card to me...
*
actually i was talking about the dragon claws vs rdw mirror tongue.gif wispmare is indeed the right card to sb against bitterblossom as it opens up so much more space and flexibility. being only W to evoke.. its harder to be countered by spellstutter, as well as leaves mana for your own counters/disruption. if you're playing green, seal of primordium/krosan grip would be the right choice.

taht's wut i'm talking about too...
the opposing RDW would be sideboarding smash to smithereen to destroy ur claw and deal 3 damage to the artifact's owner (or 2 if u activate claw)...
so 1 for 1 card trade with u losing 2 life...
my bet is forget the dragon claw and go with wild ricochet...

@ hari
lark is on even footing with faeries now but unliek faeries, lark have a good chance vs aggro so to me lark is the deck to go...
*
i was saying..its unlikely that non-wary opponents will simply side in smash to smithereens in game 2. so its quite a safe bet to side them in, and out again if theres a game 3.

Yup, what fyrekat said is correct :3 the cpi ability goes on the stack, then statebased effects are check, it dies, then only the counter triggers.

for the lark question..the leave play effect should go on the stack, and resolves only after all of them are put into the graveyard. Otherwise..it would require 2 copies of each component to work? :S
