talking about trial period which is 2 weeks, they told me that if i'm not satisfied with the service, I can just give the modem back to them without any charge. I also asked them on the package i.e. the monthly fees and initial subscription. But they weren't able to tell me (perhaps they haven't yet decided the final pricing). So i asked them with a different kind of question which could probably gimme an answer.... "What's the price if i loose them modem??" they told me that I will hv to pay them RM 1500. ahaaa.. so i guess this will be the price then. however i'm just assuming. not sure what's the actual pricing.

the signal is quiet stable.. most of the time i usually get green colour (RED=week, ORANGE=moderate, GREEN=good). And I don't even need to put near the window. my living room is fine. btw if you guys wanna know, i'm living at bdr baru sentul and i've done some research on other broadband services i.e. MAXIS (very poor), CELCOM (the speed rocks!), streamyx (never tried this before) and lastly WIMAX (really really rockss!! )..

so far WIMAX is pretty good/stable and i'm quiet impress with the speed. BT is absolutely fine. tried to download a movie (350mb in size), it took 3.5 hours to complete. seems good to me.. and this download activity was done while i'm heavily browsing (youtube) and downloading other stuffs! heheh.. it's a free trial rite!
when i agreed to give wimax a try, they told me that there's only 1000 subscribers at this juncture. not really sure what will happen to the network when 100,000 people are subscribing.

I won't mind them monopolizing the market as long their speed is consistent and their service is a ton better so we won't have to Scream at Screamyx.

Hmm...nature of technology affects the thing. But one thing I don't really get, how you guys are very impressed by the ping? Does that mean the response time from the server to the client is shorter resulting in speedier access?

There's an news article today on InTech The Star about P1 and it's wimax service. Nothing new though. Just echoing what we already know. It is confirmed to launch on 19th August and they will hold an event on that day.

As for pricing and speeds package, we have to wait until  19th August to know that.

Just one thing to ask, when they said competitive pricing package, does it mean better (as in cheaper) or same rate?

Today morning 9.15am, I had called the P1 Technical Support. While they answer my question about the IP address.
They said that the P1 W1max currently is using Static IP Address. It needs to set inside the modem. Hence, every time you reboot your modem, the IP will stick with the modem without release.

Besides, while I ask 2nd question about the Personal & Business Plan spec are same. It just the Business plan will entitle to have 1st priority to the customer service and the quality of service. Besides, personal plan is a 2nd or the last priority of their service. (Is it the speed of Business entitled to 1st Priority?)

Furthermore, when I ask about the overheat modem. They mention if try user burn the modem have to pay RM1, 500.00, while registered user will entitle to have 1 year warranty for the modem. If try user on try period burn the modem must pay and the registered user after 1 year warranty have to purchase 2nd modem RM999.00

Nationwide Access, they explained as while we travel to other state. Such as, from KL or Selangor you travel to Melaka, Penang or Others if got coverage.  If we subscribe to Promotion Packages on 12 month or 24 month term the RM10 is waves.

If signed the contract you must use for 12 or 24 month according the contract. If you want Unsubscribe you need to pay the rest of the remaining month. P1 advice that you don’t unsubscribe their service, If you Unsubscribe you still had to pay. (It sound like ah long)

About the monthly bandwidth, P1 said that currently there is no monthly bandwidth yet. The 20Gb is just a rumor according to their Technical Department.

i registered for 1.2Mbps. What i had exprienced, If you can't get for the green light. The reponse time to load a page will be take longer even the ping will higher either. Now i living in 15th Floor, i still manage to get GREEN light, but you have to face out through a window.

Currently i am very satisfied with P1, I watch 3 episodes of sitcoms direct stream yesterday. It was really good. saw 2 episode of top gear (streaming) try doing that on Streamyx or any other ISP. Latency is low, played some online games on my ps3 yesterday. Worked like a charm. ahhh.... bliss i tell u. For the time being, i am gonna give it a 5 star. Dont mean to be pesimistic though, but some of you have a point about the service is still new hence its not crowded. For now i am gonna enjoy the excellent speed.

haha then I guess better wait for streamyx to make their service better!? which is when ar.... 

so far the support team have been responsive. I dunno if i wnana make a big fuss out of this cause when the speed gets really slow, i just need to restart the modem and its good to go. But then again i am a paying customer and i should expect the best service from them?? So far i am still satisfied with the service.
