QUOTE(leonamanutd @ Sep 25 2008, 04:40 PM) The Motorola one is not a modem but just a dongle rite? I remember those days when we use WIFI dongles before it's integrated in laptops...I think it'll be a matter of a year before we find them in laptops and notebooks. I should not get a new laptop until then OIC which means if the new laptops are integrated with auto scanning for wimax... cool!

QUOTE(etsuko @ Oct 5 2008, 04:58 PM) Well, during the launch they were video conferencing with an orphanage or something in JB. But still, where in the world is Kelana Jaya...? Hmm, if that is the case then Streamyx has a big problem. During thunderstorms, my connection is often reset and have to wait awhile before it comes back again. Sigh. From what I'm seeing, those other players have like recognized big shots for the government not exactly pushing them. Whereas Green Packet's like a new player still and etc. Nonetheless, I'm waiting to see if MCMC will indeed penalize those who hasn't done what they were required. So far the govt really do nothing bout the rest of the providers...

QUOTE(raffless @ Oct 8 2008, 04:27 PM) Count me in... I'm also W1Max user in Jalan Genting Kelang Area. When I'm a Trial User, the speed in this area WAS fabulous. But since after official launch of W1Max in this area, the speed dropped significantly especially the Upload speed and the connection quite unstable. I want to know how much has it drop? does it go below the speed they promised?

Cant really blame P1 for capping it at 20GB. It's part of the pros and cons of wireless... if you look at the fair usage policy at least we can ensure that everyone get fast connection... http://www.p1.com.my/wimax/aspx/wimax_faq_ref.aspx#UsageDon't want it to end up being like maxis broadband do we?

Does this means we can just call them up and ask them to come over to check? Really sick of waiting...
