anxiety is not easy to overcome
exams and tournaments get me all stressed up and anxious that i can't sleep i normally ask myself, what is the worst possible outcome if i don't do well in the exams or tournaments? will i lose anything? for tournaments, most of the time, the answer is no. for exams, it depends on the gravity of the exam. if u don't do well, how will it affect your life? if u don't do well, it's not like u're gonna die. think of the worst case scenario. that's the max that it can go. it also helps to think that i've done all i could and the rest is not up to me (in my case, they are my opponent's level of play and the standard of the exam papers)... taking vitamins help to reduce stress too (not sure which type, B or E) so, all the best in overcoming anxiety and stress, to u, and me..... |

Anxiety comes from within. We all worry about things, it's just sometimes we worry a bit too much.
Try reading this book, it helps. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Feel-Fear-Anyway-I...07858455&sr=8-1 |

know what are you anxious about, and what can be done to keep it down.
e.g. some people anxious about when it comes to exam, prepare early and prepare well does keep anxiety low. when you don't prepare enough, obviously you will be more anxious and stress out. also learn to boost your own confidence. hoping for some drugs won't solve the problem in long term, meanwhile if it is taken in long term may cause more harm than benefit. |

anxiety, depression, stress all these comes when your coping ability/resources is not enough.
finding the root cause and fix it, otherwise try to reach for people who will listen. although it might not help, but you will feel bit relief at the end of it. drugs help by suppressing the cns, it does help if you're having a panic attack or something like that but in long run, how long can you actually suppress your cns. recovery takes times. i'm still recovering, almost two years now. do feel suicidal sometimes but when i can find someone to talk to, it does feel better. but it all boils down to how well you can control your emotion. |

Anxiety is usually caused by an external problem that we feel we cannot change. In reality, we can change the situation. Try to identify the cause of the anxiety and work hard to change it.
