Osaka, not Tokyo. The usual, but sunny weather all round. Did not go to Universal though, checked the schedule of the day, nothing really interesting there, plus i've got my HD footage of USJ already. So i shopped around in RinkuTown (yes, that's the name of the town, not some RPG-related name) at Yamada-Denki, and then boarded the train to DenDen Town/Niponbashi. You can either stop at Namba or Shin-Imamiya and walk to DenDen Town. The closest stop is Ebisucho, but it's not on the JR line. Window-shopped around, and saw that largest Gundam store in the world there. Nothing really caught my fancy there, so walked around further. I'm looking for a NAS for my media (ripped movies, music , photos, etc) that basically can act as an iTunes server, definitely going to expand my setup one i got my Apple TV end of this month. Two brands narrowed down as my choice, Synology and Qnap. There;s tons of IOData NAS here, they are pushing the IOData Landisk Home as a companion for your digital delivery network, but im not convinced on that brand.
Went to Yodobashi Camera in Umeda, Osaka next. Multiple floors of gadgets and electronics never seen outside of Japan. Wanted so much to get the Sony Rolly, but have to remind myself on the budget for NAS + Apple TV im getting later this month. End up getting these two:-

AND

Sony Nude Monitor MDR-EX90SL and the Sony PSP Skype addon.
I actually wanted the MDR-EX700SL, but they didnt stock many of those, and ran out of them.
Going to Perth tomorrow, nothing much to look forward to. Unless Australia already have ready stock of this:-
The Logitech diNovo Mini, for use with my Macbook/Macbook Air. Unless they have it there, looks like a simple, boring dinner, sleep and go back the next day. I stand a better chance on getting the diNovo Mini while im in Frankfurt on the 18th.
