Swee hi sweelee based on my experience & constantly checking on my GPRS/EDGE in out traffic on the settings, GPRS/EDGE would only activated when ure MMSing or streaming but once u done, it would terminate automatically BUT do hv application like bosspref which will "switch off" your EDGE/GPRS when u dont want to use it.... "Prevention is better than cure" p/s bosspref u need to do it manually to "on or off" your EDGE/GPRS
