QUOTE(hokuan @ May 10 2008, 06:28 PM) ..now you understand what i meant by "no paradise is TH paradise".. over confidence would most likely set a trap on ownself, the truth is always depressing.. but as i said the game is not over as long as you don't give up hunting provided with right pointers and timing (which is why keeping in touch with as many collector as possible like in this forum is important), plus a little of political strategies to break into certain territory that have fallen to certain hand (don't be surprised if you could pull it without actually having to 'hulur' employees there).. in my experience depending on which place i would give my best shot to take over someone's 'territory' if i see it doesn't do any good for others, but if the regular customer there is indeed a passionate collector who concerns more of completing his own collection then there's no need for me to make things complicated, don't forget there's lot more stores out there even 7E's brings Hotwheels! ..i actually knew all along Seremban territory may not be 'free' after all but i try not to alert ya to see if you could break yourself and with your t-hunt findings hey so far ur doing good! even with this insider thing before you came around i myself gave my shot last time traveling all the way to Seremban just to hunt and when i found few reg Camaro t-hunt Hotbox on display in Terminal 1 Parkson on my 1st trip, i told myself to give it another try on 2nd trip and manage to haul quite number of hunts at Jusco even it was my first time there |

Haha, nice respond from you. Now the problem at Seremban is not just insider grabbing TH, is the stock here getting very very slow. Parkson restock rather slow, and 7E here don't have interesting models..

QUOTE(zefflodo @ May 10 2008, 06:51 PM) gonna start write write email to all carrefour, TRU and tesco management.... zeff.. the 'thunt politics' is more complicated that it seems, we have certain Mattel employees, dept store employees, scalper customers that willing to 'hulur' extra, and in the middle those genuine collectors that resorted to rely on certain staff for their help (like 90 percent of players here in this thread) because there's just no other choice, some forced to pay, some smart enough to avoid bribing people.. Mattel themselves a promoter has shared with me how they've been warned cause they already received too much complaints not like your letter will this time will help anyway cause Mattel has no control whatsoever once the cases reach the dept store. Management? why you think hardly you could discover any hunts in TRU if not the MANAGER themselves kept it! and staff are indeed smart unlike what you think, they don't steal or put them aside.. they just pay it over counter like normal customers do so those hunts already legally belongs to them. And to put the blame on them is even more complicated that some are real culprit but some are also genuinely collects it or help fellow their collector friend. but let's put it this way, instead of thinking we're actually doomed don't forget we all are NEWBIES in this and it's the REAL hard veteran hotwheels collectors that's getting screwed big time, cause we the new blood (including me lol) could hunt hard as we could, planting our network bit by bit, and very quick to now latest restocks in particular stores.. but these old timers can't afford to be as active as us but they're the first to get into hunts since the 90's when we knew totally nothing bout treasure hunt back then. Sometimes i can't blame them to offer high ringgit to secure a few pcs while we happily scoring and paying rm5.90 for it. So to feel upset that we could not find hunts in certain places, just take a look back at the "Chrysler TH Count" list you guys made earlier and see how many have Supers.. who says we CAN'T find anything! |

Actually complain does help..Tesco at my place doesn't allow customers to take those stock to check..Too bad the manager cant stop his worker from doing so..

well, help from insider 4 me is just an advantage.
if da staff there keep stock, then open their 'big mouth' asking 4 $! 4 me tats no call insider! tats money sucker! tiz case i'll report as well! my situation (i think u all know i manage 2 sapu most Viper TH) is i get news from insider about da timing, da staff even told me 2 come asap coz they will give it 2 any1 who asking 4 new stock! so i rush here & there like mad ppl during tat period~ 7-11 case is....their HW come in loose quantity. coz is SUB CON who send stocks, not Mattel. most 7-11 will order small quantity of HW if they wanna restock. etc. 30pcs, 20pcs. rarely they'll order even 1 box. except during promotion period. etc. last year GTO TH. |

Parkson restock rather slow, and 7E here don't have interesting models.. that is not Seremban prob, more like nationwide prob.. same here, hardly any new wave after Chrysler cause the wave is flooded here too, so very few could replenish their stock.. i'm thinking since the current wave is Buick Riviera TH (as very few stores got them, hopefully more coming) probably Dodge Viper (luckily tkt hook us up with few pcs) and Hot Bird (didn't hear any forumer found locally yet) both already passed just like that, gone for good.. but i don't know, we just have to wait see.Added on May 10, 2008, 8:28 pmanyway i gtg first.. will get back regarding this next time, remember not to give up on hunting! but pls don't do it blindly sooner or later you guys sure will get demoralized and eventually give up just like that! shadoxicated,
I've been following your replies and I would just like to thank you for the contributions to this thread so far. You have written good articles stating the "problem/issues" that all HW collectors here are facing. And one thing that I respect most about you is your attitude. You keep the spirit going in this thread. You never let us give up. |
