the subject to me is placed awkwardly, if you placed it in the middle
or the the right it'll look better imo. and if you darkned the background
like silhoutte it'll be awesome! and yeah the lighting looks awkward too.

This is not a bad attempt actually! It looks like those car catalogues, but my comment is try avoid those lighting on the lower side of the road coz it doesnt looked real. I would like to see if the car is in motion, but overall, good attempt!

whoa.. nice attempt. combination of the sky and the lighting is good to my liking. however, imho it'll be better if u can light up the side as well (to avoid the shadows abit) and seems like some color fringes around the trees.. but anyway, its a real goood try..

yeppers. u missed out the rims dude. the rims should be one of the main higlights of the car. more light there would be great.

hm...thats something weird in this photo...how to put it, the car surface is not smooth..and the way of lighting has turned the vehicle out of shape. got those horror movie effect if u know what i mean, light comes from bottom to top..

Yeah =/ my lighting still not good enough, i shud have used reflectors instead haha cuz if i used flash it sure will leave a "hot spot" on the rims.

on the training part im still new, this is my 1st attempt with Derek so there's nothing much to teach, all i have to say now is just trial and errors man

I think the not so smooth surface is because of the noise haha... I still dont get u on the horror feel part XD Top is the backlight from the ambient ma(the sun) hehe... others are flash.

yea but i think thats got more to do with photomatix's buggy processing than his pp skills. but i have to say the composition is near if not perfect d *negative space on the right hand side

but the pix damn syiok nonetherless..

eh luke, it actually depends on what kind of feeling you wan to portrait to the viewer. but i'd say this type of appearance is non-commercial type of attempt
