Good morning!
Does anybody here have any tips on how to utilize account remaja to get max dividends? My wife and I account is already at limit and so far since my son's birth, I've managed to put aside rm1k every month into his ASB. Obviously, I prefer to max my son's account to get max dividend. Any way to do it?

Hello all!
I just cancelled my ASB loan on the 12th Jan. When will it take effect? The LO said 1 to 2 months to take effect. Normally this long eh? I cancelled at a different branch than the one i took up the loan with.

QUOTE(cleveland @ Jan 22 2016, 03:43 PM) Is it recommended for Fresh Graduate to take this ASB loan? Just now I went to Maybank to update my ASB book, the counter staff advised me to take ASB Loan. BUTTTT, I feel afraid to take this loan because my salary is just okay okay, I also need to pay my car loan, PTPTN loan, bills etc. Sigh. Dunno whether i should take it or not.. Simple advice: Take what you can afford.

Hello Everyone.
I was wondering if all the banks that offer ASB Financing uses only standing instruction as payment method?
Is there a bank that offers self payment? Meaning I dont have to open an account with the bank if I want to apply for ASB Financing.

QUOTE(PrinceJoe @ May 22 2018, 07:32 AM) You could make self payment with our CIMB ASB Financing. Do WhatsApp me @ 016-8352134 for details/questions. I am extending my personal service / techniques to anyone who wants more benefits of ASB thru ASB Financing. QUOTE(Ronald K. @ May 22 2018, 08:11 AM) Hi there, Opening of saving acc is not compulsory for Ambank ASB so do feel free to drop me a PM if you’d like to know more about our current promo! Thanks for the info. Additionally, I can confirm maybank also allows self payments. Incidentally, what is interest rate on CIMB ASB Financing?

Just curious.
Why would someone take the ASB Financing without Takaful?

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jul 15 2018, 10:01 AM) Perhaps someone who plans to not pay diligently till the end and or plans to just keep doing the rinse and repeat method every couple years. Taking Takaful for such would reduce the clear profits at the end. I see. Thanks. Incidentally, how much a difference does takaful make on the monthly payments?

QUOTE(haziqnet @ Jul 19 2018, 09:49 AM) Oh i see..haha anyway for me, i will not care too much about the interest as long as im making profit. Even my current asbf loan is 5.35% and yet i dun feel like to terminate or reapply because the principal has accumulate a lot. If im teminating my asbf thats mean i will start from zero principal back. Better i opm my asbf than terminate. Based on this statement, am I correct to say its not wise/recommended to cancel current ASBF and reapply for a new one solely for the lower interest rate if you have already service your current ASBF for a long time?

Hello all,
I know this may seem like a weird question but may I know what's the maximum tenure on MYR200,000 ASBF if I can commit only rm1203 a month. With and without takaful.
I cant seem to find any reliable ASBF payment schedule online and frankly, it's not convenient for me to go to the bank at the moment.

QUOTE(wild_card_my @ Sep 25 2018, 09:40 AM) Erm, the best rate you can get for RM200,000 loan is 4.85% with takaful, of about RM400 one-time premium, at 30 years the installment is only RM1058/month. Well I am the best man to approach if you cannot go to the bank because I do door-to-door. Thank you for your quick reply. I actually want to know what's the tenure on MYR200,000 ASBF if I can pay exactly MYR1203 a month. Not the maximum tenure. Sorry for the confusion. The reason I'm asking is that I already have an ASBF and I wish to refinance WITHOUT extending my current tenure and WITHOUT increasing monthly payment.

Just curious, and maybe a little off topic.
How many of us here uses the dividens for other than rolling? I pay my ASBF monthly and use the dividens and bring my family to go on a nice holiday every year.
I feel there's no point saving so much if you dont enjoy life. Obviously, Do Everything in moderation.
Again, was just curious. Dont bash on me for not rolling my dividens. =P

QUOTE(voncrane @ Nov 1 2018, 10:58 AM) Well, you do that each and every year without backup..?.? You'd never see that million. But hey, it's your money. Sure, we all need to live life and not be so stiff. Just don't be a fool about it. Saving for ones retirement, Inflation and rising cost of living are still a thing. Neither cares if you "blow" your savings/investments on "luxuries" at the wrong times. I know a lot of people who were fairly well off and due to keeping up with the joneses and etc, are broke today. You do you, but what I do know is that it's easier to spend say 30k annually on trips or toys, when you know your various investments net 100k+ annually. That's how the real rich remain rich.. Thank You =)

Any idea how much this means in dividens for us who have rm200k in ASB financing?
My plan is to apply for a new ASB Financing and use this year dividens to pay it off monthly.
If the situation allows it, I would also like to cancel my wife's ASB financing (at 5.25%) and use its principal payout to pay for a 2nd ASB financing.
My wife's ASB is already at 5 years and should be getting about rm20k in principal payout.

QUOTE(wild_card_my @ Dec 21 2018, 11:57 AM) You could do that. The current lowest rate is 4.85% p.a. However, no banks are offering ASB2 financing as of yet. You can either continue with your financing at 5.25% or refinance back to RM200k, realize the capital, and get a new rate of 4.85% This has been my plan for some time. Just waiting on ASB announcing their dividends. Will probably start the process next year. Unless someone here knows for certain I can start the process of cancelling and re-apply for ASB financing now (while ASB is still closed)? Additionally, is 4.85% offered by banks or only via you sir?

Good Morning All,
The ASB spreadsheet is purely compounding the dividend earned right? Means you still pay the ASB Financing monthly from your own pocket till end of tenure.
or am I wrong?

I just got off the phone with the branch that I did the loan and they confirmed that they already sent in the paperwork for cancellation on the 7th Jan. That branch says it Might take a month at most. So I guess I'll just wait till end of Jan.
The branch that said 4-5 months was the one closest to my home and I did the cancellation there instead of the branch where I took the loan.
Additionally, the ASB loan payment due is on the 1st Feb via auto debit. Must I stilll pay if just say havent fully cancelled yet?

Hello everyone. So I cancelled my MBB ASB Loan at Branch A on the 2/1. I called Bank A again to ask for any updates, said it'll take 4-5 months I called Branch B (the Branch where I actually took the loan) later on and they said they already submitted the paperworks for cancelation to ASNB on the 7/1. They also said Branch A was lying and it'll only take at most 1 month to process. Its 2/2 now and my ASB Loan account showing outstanding payment already. I know I'll have to pay but I wont. Not yet anyways since I was told there's some grace period. Is this true? My worry is that they wont give the principal till I pay the outstanding. I'm also worried that if I pay the last installlment, they wont give back the principal portion of it. Anyways to solve the situation I'm in? Presistenly Calling MBB Branch B doesnt seem to work p.s. Last time I will ever deal with MBB on any loan. Not efficient at all. At least at both these branches. Sorry to any MBB agents here.
