If they sell of ur loan by end of the month, u get no dividend but they will earn interest.

I cancelled mine on 24/1. Call CS just now and said they just keyed in on 31/1. Why keyed in 7 days later where u can just keyed in on the same day.

Keyed into system and no action yet taken. But the CS told me in her experience usually if already keyed in, in 3 weeks will terminate, so she say just call around 25 february onwards should have cancelled by then.

But I end up rugi my dividend for february as no dividend for february since they sold my cert on 25.2.2019 but they will still calculate interest which is rm28 x 25 = rm700.

If im the bank ‘since im not gonna earn interest from u so just let u pay more interest and terminate right before month end’

Same goes to my asb disbursement. I sign the loan application and ‘the start date in the system’ showed 10.1.2013. However, money disbused to PNB on 5.2.2013. However my sister signed and the ‘start date in the system’ on 25.1.2013 (15 days) later than mine but still start date 5.2.2013.

They try to earn as much interest. BNM should have regulate this matter for ASBF the interest calc should start from the day where the ASBf would benefit the owner not the bank.

Let’s see if my loan was terminated before 28.2.2019 im gonna make complaint to bank negara.

In the first place why u key in into system on 31.1.2019 where i have submitted my termination form on 9.20am 23.1.2019.

Well, if that is the case, because of their delay i actually got full dividend for January since my installment payment date is 1st of the month. Till today no news though. I'll call again today to see what bullshit they will try to sell then I'll wait till the full month which is 7/2 before making more noise.

I feel this practice is so unethical and unprofessional. shakehead.gif

p.s. you mention you called CS. Not the branch? Could you share the number please.

Just thought I'd share with everyone my experience a few pages back.

1. Canceled ASBF at nearest MBB branch on the 2/1. Was told it will take 4-5 months.
2. Called Loan branch on the 23/1 and was told they submitted cancellation on 7/1. Here, I was told it will take only 1 month.
3. Called again on 8/2 and was told they submitted cancellation on 11/1 instead. Made noise and they put the blame on ASNB. (At this point, they auto-debit FEB installment already)
4. Check ASBF account and saw MYR200,000 was debited on 12/2
5. Receive payment on 15/2
6. Receive etiqa takaful payment on 22/2. Was surprised cause the 1st MBB branch where I cancelled my ASBF told me I wont get it at all.

All in All, took them almost 2 months to settle. Also, so many conflicting statements from both branches.

The only redeeming factor it seems is that interest calculation will stop on date of cancellation submission (Not by you but by the branch). So, I got back FEB full installment.

Others may get better experiences but mine was far from it. Not satisfied at all.

Ohh good to know they reimburst back the Feb Installment.
Was very mad with the agent of Bank rimau said it only take 3 week to settle all, hence no Feb installment (and yet they auto debit siap2 dry.gif ) and maybe Mar also they auto debit.

BTW how much u get from takaful? is it significant amount?

Almost rm4k.

I guess it was significant due to the fact I was not expecting it. Gave to wife yesterday. Today she disappearing off to Pavillion. rolleyes.gif

Perhaps I should also mention, due to their delays, I'm guessing I managed to get full dividend for January. I check my ASNB on 1/2 and the full amount was still there.

In Jan also, my new ASBF was disbursed in another bank. So, again I'm guessing, I did not lose out on any of 2019 dividend

That's a very healthy takaful amount. rclxms.gif
The loan you canceled is already how many years? 5 years?

I believe for Jan, they must zero-ed out the asb amount first before other bank can reinvest. Dont you think so?

so i guess, your lowest balance is 0 for Jan. correct or not?

More than 5 years. Cant remember already.

The cancelled ASBF was my wife' s account. I took another ASBF with my own account. My wife's ASBF was only sold back in Feb (Full dividend for Jan) while my own ASBF was disbursed in Jan ( Full dividen for Feb). So, didnt lose out for Jan and Feb.

Right?

Thank you for your clarification.
Until now my termination process is not settle. And the bank staff pile more and more lies telling why my process is slow. Really fed up now mad.gif

Asked the rimau staff, got replied my application is in KL. I cant really understand why my application end up in KL branch. I did my termination process in Sg Petani branch.

BTW is it true though?

As I understand it from my own recent experience, request for termination can be done at any branch. However, the branch that processes the termination will always be the branch where you actually applied for the ASBF. As my case, I submitted termination of ASBF at branch A, knowing full well that they will have to send that request to Branch B, where I actually took the loan. There was a few days before Branch B receive the termination notice.

Not yet. Those who signed up with the old rate will enjoy new lowered rates soon

HLB Base Rate (BR): 4.13% w.e.f 10/01/2019

HLB reference rates

QUOTE
Reference Rate
Islamic Financing Rate (IFR): 6.89% w.e.f. 15/05/2019

Islamic Base Rate (IBR): 3.88% w.e.f 15/05/2019
Kuala Lumpur Interbank Offered Rates (KLIBOR): 3.46%
3-mth KLIBOR based on previous business day.
So does this mean HLB has updated their base rate? My rate now stands at 4.13%+0.72% p.a. Does this mean my new rate will be 3.88%+0.72% p.a.?
