Interest is always accrued, but not sure about the compounding of the accrued interests. They have always been quite slow about the announcements, compared to all the other banks

yup, in their fesbuk page said will announce 27mar. but nothing yet

Sifu wild card, as per hlb,

No compounding of interest/profit for the deferred repayments.

Does this mean it's a good or bad thING?

In general, i would advise keeping cash in hand in the next few months. If everything is fine and dandy, you would have the option of paying the accrued interest, continuing the moratorium and extending your tenure by 6 months (or more, depends on the bank), etc.

For RHB for example, they claim that the extension of your tenure would be limited to just 6 months and no increment of installment? Does that mean they are not accruing interests? Sure, that's how I read it. But as it is, even if they do like other banks, it is still best to keep your cash in hand and expand your options

thanks sifu wild card. i guess that should be the way now.

5 months can become some significant money too

It is a difficult question to answer as there are those who have lost faith in the fund. There are a few what-if situations at hand here:

a. if it turns out that the fund would give less than the prevailing ASBF rates, then you would have made some losses
b. if it turns out that the fund would give more than the prevailing ASBF rates, then you would have made some profit

We are at a crossroad where profitability is not guaranteed. However keep in mind that PNB's mandate to maximize their funds' returns remain in tact. If you still believe in them, you can start your ASBF as soon as you are able to, simply to maximize the growth of your softcap

yes, if you notice I spend less time in k now  biggrin.gif

maybe i need to learn more about this EPF stuff. because all i have now is Public Mutual agent trying to get me withdraw my EPF money to put in Public Mutual which i have been ignoring.

I'm surprised because why not many people is doing this since EPF offers the highest dividen around  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

but public mutual, heard very risky and unstable. and the fees are high. mostly goes to your agent.

but let's not derail the topic. it's on asb loan bruce.gif

Currently, starting from 1 July - 31 July, ASNB is having a promo for the registration of Hibah Amanah. Hibah Amanah is sort of penama for your money in the ASNB funds.

Normal registration fee is RM 180. Now only just RM 50.

does that loan comes with takaful protect?
or you wanted both scenario?
*
oh forgot about takaful. i think now is minimum takaful.

but takaful is the insurance that if u die, they will pay u.

the hibah amanah is just to disburse your asb dividen according to your will. correct me if im wrong blush.gif

need your advise. i am planning to buy house but at the same time interested to apply ASBF.

which one should i do first, get housing loan approve the proceed with ASBF or vice versa

and which bank give better rate for now?
*
can be both.

example banks that offer ASB/ maybank see this as income, thus may help you in your housing loan application.

if you are not in the asbf game for long, 1st year that doesnt generate dividen, will be hard to explain.

ambanks for example, see this as commitment. they dont know about asbf. but maybank recognizes this as income

Hypothetical question.. if I have MYR100k in hand, more profitable to park all into asb or use that money for paying asbf MYR200k?
*
use that money to pay asbf 200k and park the 100k to somewhere to earn interest

you will get more by doing asbf. Use a potion of that 100k to pay for 1 year asbf installment. Next year onwards use dividen to pay the installment every year. The balance of your 100k can park into asb2 or other platform u want. If asb2 also open for financing than make 200k x 2.

please update here if asb2f is open bruce.gif bruce.gif

Let's see in a couple of days what ASB2 returns will be. If it's below 4%, wont be surprised if there are mass ASB2 loan cancellations  biggrin.gif
