Did anyone here actually played the game? Feels like theres a really old guy lurking around here O_o

I kinda like this anime cause of the scenery. A lot of different places, like a real rpg eg a mountainous area in #6 (eh?)

The original game had no premise or story. It was only later retconned to have some semblance of plot. Besides the game developers had no say in the direction of the anime.

Gilgamesh is Babylonian in the games, unlike the true Sumerian legend. In episode 3 there was a flashback of King Gilgamesh during his younger days and he looks like the current Jil.

Druaga is Gil/Gilgamesh's father, which episode 1 made a parody of.

Which is the true description of Kaaya real identity?..
1). the descendant of the damsel in distress that Gilgamesh saved..
2). The damsel in distress that Gilgamesh saved..

bunny girl and catgirl kaaya is still FTW..

1 - She was never a damsell in distress, she was a sorceress with the task of taking back the blue rod, but failed and was trapped.
2 - Kaaya was not the same person, as she doesn't know how the tower works

urgghhh.... episode 7 would be more epic if the animation quality didnt drop..

sigh... dragon slaying man..

is crunchyroll is trying to screw ppl that view the episode at youtube? last week they add a freaking huge banner on the top of the video. and for this week, they only put first 5mins of the episode. If you want to watch the full epi, you need to go to crunchyroll's website.

I think we do ahve to wait a year.for season 2! >_< so many mysteries!

man the ending suck....
they builded up so much mysteries from the very beginning and answered none of it in the end....
it's like the whole season 1 is a teaser of what the MAIN story is about...

A lot of ppl recommend this anime to me.

So i try really hard to like it. Even after I got bored after episode 4.

Is it really that good?

The story gets better and picks up after EP 4?

I'm really really trying hard to like it.

btw ...the girl at the ED didn't appear at all .... .. I thought she will come out in the ending at least 1 second ...but didn't....

I was actually enthralled like when I read those Harry Potter books (yes... i'm coming out of the closet), but at the final episode, I was sadly, deeply disappointed.
I could not believe that it could end like this, and leave me waiting till next year for the next season. What the hell man..

But despite that, I would still most likely watch the next season.

Anyone watch the backside story of ep1? I told the story of wat actually happen during the time Jil was sleeping in ep1. From that ep, actually Jil is quite strong

Not in the dream lah. The backside story of ep1 told the story of wat happen in the real world, just after Jil was knocked unconscious. In this backside ep 1, there's a scene where Jil fall into the gorge, but still OK (even manage to knocked out a Kusarakk leader accidentally, when he fall on top of its head), and also about the heavy weight of the armor he wears (even Utu admit that it was heavy). Also, the backside ep1 told the a lil bit of what happen b4 Ahmey, Melt and Coopa join Kaaya.
