QUOTE(saviour313s @ Nov 21 2012, 11:06 PM) woah MEng.. sounds really cool! i am from academic as well... i lecture physics (pre U level) for 1.5 years while doing my master....I'm from academic field (BSc Mathematics) going to turn into this non-academic field job... based on the previous comment that I've rounded in this thread, there will be 3 interviewers for our slot tomorrow... Yeah, hope to see you and wish you all the best too! As for the precaution, I've just running thru to their profile (about PB).. frankly speaking I have no experience in HR job scope. nil. so I'm guessing that they will ask "How do you solve such and such problem?" - so I just preparing such pattern of question and think for the best response. What about you? since they are hiring management trainees... i think they don expect experiences = = |

QUOTE(.netlamps @ Nov 26 2012, 10:25 AM) Ppl prefer non sales because it is really tough to make sales. All ppl prefer free thing. banking still ok la... To be a salesman/salesgal, u must have the ability to handle rejection. Furthermore, some ppl will say something unpleasant when u approach them and some even slam the door in yr face. It's such an unpleasant experience. not as harsh as those door to door sales |

QUOTE(sheahann @ Nov 27 2012, 12:33 AM) nowadays i tot most of the company dont really care about master. i dunno about ur fieldif want phD then only take master or if want to become lecturer then take master. master took 1 and a half year, and if company pay more to master holder also about rm200 to rm300 higher than degree. but, by the time graduate, usually friends who dint take master already got much higher salary within 1 and a half year. but when i was doing my internship my supervisor advice me to take master.. he said because he has no master, working in the same company for 30 years, end up a lady which is around 10 years younger than him become his boss... thats mnc la...maybe small small company they dont care... my fren is working is singapore, he say in singapore mnc senior manager level easily hold 2 masters and 1 phd it's not for the few hundred dollars per month he said... it's for the future, to stay competitive the story is simple... when u work for around 3-4 years, senior exec level... all new coming fresh grads with a master... would u feel stress? mnc wont allow a degree holder to lead a team of master holder no matter how experienced or capable the degree holder is QUOTE(gonzalo20 @ Nov 27 2012, 12:24 AM) got la aiyoyo.... |

actually if they make you do sales, and you are interested in sales, public bank is kinda good choice
I have a lot of trust in public bank finance team, they have good reputations... I've bought a small share of public bank for RM600 5 years ago and now it worth about RM2000 i think... The reputation is there, u'll have ur sales |
