I get offer for the Trainee Credit Analyst last two weeks. May i know what is the job scope for this position? Working environment in branch and stress level? Sifu pls guide.. thanks!
Your question is answered here.
For your information only, this may not be accurate due to :
1) I'm not working in PBB
2) Diff bank might have diff practice for their Credit Analyst Team
As I understand so far, PBB Trainee Credit Analyst have two type:
1) station in HQ Jln Ampang
2) station in branch for the first 3 - 6 month, then back to HQ Jln Ampang for further exposure and experience
I would opt for Option 2, as you get more exposure, and diff experience when you are in the branch.
Could obtain more end to end process understanding when you're in branch. Such as from part A until part C.
When in HQ, job segregation are very nice, where you might only involved doing part B, while part A and part C, you have no knowledge on it.
What is Credit Analyst in PBB?
Basically, approving loan. However, there are different loan department in PBB.
Mortgage & SME (Housing Loan), Hire Purchase (Car Loan), Credit Card & Personal Loan
From what I heard, most of the trainee Credit Analyst will work in Mortgage team.
Your main task:
1) Sales staff will pass you the customer full document (application form, IC copy, Income Statement .........)
2) You shall key into system. Meanwhile, evaluate any possible fraud.
3) Do verification on the document
4) Whatever relevant checking
5) Request for additional document if needed
6) Recommend to approve / decline / KIV to your line manager based on a lot of factor
Do note that, as a fresh graduate, you do not have authority to approve / reject a loan. Mostly, you will recommend it to your line manager. Your line manager will be the last key person for decision making.
I just wrote based on my experience, it does not necessary the same.
Add-on :
From my perspective, I feel Credit Analyst is quite a routine work where I do not suit to. However, diff people might have diff perspective on this.
Could someone just get moderator to PIN this up at the first page. As I found it is very useful.
In the meantime, combine this 2 thread as well, as they are referring to the same post, i suppose
