hey guys have been noticing that all the threads here are all technical based

One of our forumers here is selling several types of fun filter lens. The macro lens caught my eyes, since the iPhone doesn't have macro mode. Here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=661071&hl=lens

OMG...although it is only the 2MP phone but it very and damn nice than other 3MP phone like Nokia or SE,and it also dont have the special setting like SE Cybershot or flash but its also can shoot the nice photo same like the 3MP phone.
Why it will like that?Is it the IPhone have the special spec for the IPhone camera? |

i was also amazed with this iphone camera when i took the 1st few shots. BUT when u viewed from ur pc of the photo taken, they aren't that sharp, but heh, when u compared to PPC camera, haha... sure winner in every way.

OK, here's a weird question. I tried searching for it but I can't find an answer
How do I add photo albums to my iPhone? I currently only have 1 album which is the Camera Roll. Tried to add using iPhone PC Suite etc but it doesn't show up? Are there supposed to be any buttons in the Photo Albums screen? All I have is the Photo Albums and no additional buttons with the Camera Roll. Am I missing something here? Also, I used BossPrefs to take a screenshot, the photo is in the Camera Roll but when I copied the entire contents out of the folder to my PC, the picture of the screen shot isn't there?  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

It is very tasty. The ribs are recommended. Its their signature dish and the portion is big. Mmmm ... if weekdays lunch hour u can get a discount. For me its not that expensive, something like chilis. But I still think Victoria Station have the best steaks. Haven't tried Outback steakhouse yet.

nice shoot member, even the low loght condition is still giving better lighting control and sharpness. is very good if it is only 2mp. only the colour control is abit not nice... anywhere, i give it 4.5 star !!! 5 star is full.

hey guys have been MIA a while now

Saw this while walking in 1U the other day. Never heard of this before but its at the New Wing, near Giant. Didn't know that they were renovating.
 In a day when petrol costs almost RM 3/liter.....  A serving of lamb for RM1 is unbelievable. That is not a typo! Only RM 1 per plate. There was a choice of Steak, Lamb, Salmon Steak or Jalapeno Spaghetti. Unfortunately, only for that restaurants 1st Anniversary, 1 day promotion only. I guess they save on advertising costs. A peek at their menu, I think the actual price is RM 29. It's Restaurant 888 in Kota Damansara. Can't remember the address but I think its behind Pirates Ice Cream. Only until 9pm tonight OR while stocks last. |

can tahan la these iPhones camera.... better than previous models with 2MP camera... but still need improvements... colours are all washed out... noway of doing any macro shots at there is no auto focus (juz point and snap) and lastly bcoz of that there is no depth in picture quality all flat..

Ah... this is too bad
I was seriously thinking of getting an iphone. 2 things stopping me. Only 2 Mpixel camera. And i want a waterproof phone. The waterproofing is fixable, i can get a waterproof case. BUt the 2 Mp camera is seriously lacking. I thought it might be ok, but after checking the pics in this forum, it's crap. As in, really bad. I'm gonna wait till apple puts in at least a 3mp camera to even consider the iphone. Preferably 5mp. And definitely WITH video. *sigh* And it looked so good too... |

Taken with a PENTAX Digicam, just pointed and shot. Liked how the blade effects showed up in the pic. Someone posted that the quality of the 2MP camera isn't good. I guess its the lighting that makes the difference. I took these shots with the iPhone and also tried to take the same shots with my Sony Ericsson K800i. Couldn't really tell the difference. Now that I look at it side by side, I see that the colours are slightly washed out   iPhone vs K800i Of course, ask those who have the iPhone and we can tell you we didn't buy it purely for the camera That plus the fact I'm no pro when it comes to photography! I cannot sleep now, sleep later in aircraft. My shift working is late in the early morning, so I need to adjust myself to the different timezone and work shift, so that I dont doze off when I'm suppose to be working.

Takes a while to upload, and editing as well, but here it is, my trip to Disneyland Paris photos! Please forgive the not-so-professional nature of my photo-taking skills, I'm a schlep when it comes to this.
 Took the SNCF train from CDG Aeroport 2, to Chatelet le Halles, and then change track to Marne la Valley Chessy. While on the second train, a street performer came in and serenaded us with, surprise, American songs. Must have figured that the bulk of visitors of Disneyland Paris are English-speaking ones. After his performance, came around holding out his hat for anyone wanting to pass a Euro or two to him.    But as usual, before any hard walking and touring is done, as a theme-park commando, you need to stock up on energy. Had breakfast in McD, and the other two pics are the more upmarket Rainforest Cafe, and a snap of the hot-air balloon, from underneath a giant toadstool.   First stop, Walt Disney Studios! The huge billboard showing the latest attraction, Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror beckons daring patrons. Time to head past the Studio gates!    Inside the compound, you'll see this beautiful bronze depiction of that unforgettable scene of Apprentice Mickey doing his magic in Fantasia. Guess how I made that shot look wavy?   Inside the giant hangar-like Studio 1. Interior made to look like Sunset Boulevard, with eateries and movie-shooting equipments alongside the street. They do live recordings in here for TV shows and movies as well, so look your best, SMILE! Outside on the other side, the staple in every Disney theme park, statue of Walt and Mickey. Beautiful! They have moved to updating the board via manual update(a Cast member will have to edit the times) to auto-update via Wifi, from all the attractions in the park. They also offer Bluetooth instant-update feature for 3 of the major rides here, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock n' Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith, and Crush's Coaster, at their respective waiting area and inside the restaurants in Studio 1, so that while you have your meal, you can turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile phones, and receive updates. Very cool!       No time to waste, on to the Tower of Terror! The ride basically chronicles the disaster that happened to 5 patrons of this tower, which was once a prominent hotel called Hollywood Tower Hotel. Once fateful night in 1939, 5 patrons stepped into the elevator, and never seen again. The entire elevator shaft disappeared as it was struck by mysterious lightning, as they plummet 13 storeys to the ground, but never hitting ground, as the elevator cab disappears......into the Underworld perhaps. Fast-forward to now, you are invited to ascertain the truth behind this story, by boarding the service elevator, and in that effect, be the star of of your own Twilight Zone episode. As you are ushered into the dilapidated hotel, you are brought into the study/library and as the door closes behind you, this preshow movie clip comes on an old TV:-This video is the whole experience, more or less, of the Disney California Adventure park in LA, which is the carbon-copy of the Paris version. Nice outdoor pics there, string.
Watched "The Dark Knight" for the 2nd time yesterday. This time, it was in Gold Class.  Low light conditions + shaky hands = extra bad picture. The first time I've been to Gold Class in Malaysia. Pathetic I know! The last time I went for Gold Class tickets was when I was in Village, Crown Casino in Melbourne. That was for "Pearl Harbor". I don't think its justified to spend RM 40 on a ticket. But the reclining leather seats were nice. And it was "THE DARK KNIGHT"!!!!!   The lounge area  The bar  Another shot from the bar  This was the best I could get out of the lighting from the screen in the theater Only 2 of us in the entire theater for this 11:30am screening of "The Dark Knight". Then after that, went to watch:  Picture came out better than expected with the dim, blue lighting  Good lighting + steady hand = nice pic |

I believe good lighting plays role there Me myself is using nikon d40 inside the cave. Iphone cannot handle dark situation as good as dedicated camera (neon flash in iPhone 3.0 mr Job?), so do not throw away any bulky camera that we are using today If I m not mistaken, the iphone has aperture of 2.8, which explains the good pics while having enough lighting. What is fun with iPhone is actually the ability to post ur pic as soon as you took them. Yes, I do realize that another phone is also able to do this, but with iPhone great screen, ur flickr stream just look extremely well saturated N sometimes people keep visiting becoz u r using iPhone (not bcoz of the quality of pic) This post has been edited by cill: Jul 28 2008, 05:07 AM |

let me share a tip among the iphone users here:
it is easy to differentiate a 1.3 or a 1.6 neo from afar. the 1.6 has a back wiper whilst the 1.3 doesnt. of course, the less obvious mark would include the sports rim etc. |

Went to 1U today, and wanted to watch "The Dark Knight" (round 3 - but accompanying my friend who hasn't seen it yet) but its still sold out! WTF?!
Ended up watching "21" instead. Anyway, same spot, no more "Batpod" standee! Instead, they have this:  Poster:  And I was mesmerized by the images of the "Spider-Man" Blu-Ray:   Can't really remember what Bravia model it was but - boy did it look good. It looks so clear but it kinds of gives off that "fake" vibe. Really weird And yeah, I don't have a Full HD screen yet so I'm not used to seeing images like this |

I like cheese but I'm not a fan of vegetables Thick and gooey. Yummy and comes with 2 crackers. Triple Play - The Blue Cheese dip for the Buffalo wings was a little tame - the one at TGIF's has more "oomphh" and little chunks of Blue Cheese too. This one's just like a sauce.  Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers - After such a long time, Chilli's finally has some new items on their menu (5 new items I think) - ordered this Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers. To the defense of those who missed this TT, it was posted in the Winpwn thread, which may not be relevant to the guys who either pwn their iPhones using Mac solutions or have no need for pwnage at all. So let's give those who missed this the benefit of the doubt. Next time, I think, if we want to make another TT, post it in its own separate thread, not nestled in a thread that some may not visit at all.

There is this picture that I still cant forget, how different it was Christmas in Auckland.

Finally got to try Tony Roma's for dinner today at Cineleisure. It was a pleasant dining experience. Lighting conditions weren't ideal for clear pics but, places like TGIF's, Chilli's etc seem to have the same kind of interior lighting. Dim. Maybe for that "romantic" feel for couples?  Huge drink glass - free refills for soft drinks  The famous Onion Loaf  Very generous with the sauces - I think every table that orders the steaks/ribs gets one of these on their tables. Like the Smokey version the most. Honey BBQ is a tad sweet, and the Original BBQ tastes too much like ketchup.  My extra "Blue Cheese Crust" to go with my steak and ribs combo. Cost an extra RM 5.90 for that but oh so good I love cheese! Chicken Tenderloin Platter  Salmon  NY Strip Steak (6 oz) with Boneless ribs  Dessert - Tony Roma's Chocolate Avalanche Food was good but can't say it was exceptional and I would go there again. Serving sizes were just right, didn't feel stuffed and bloated. Waitress made recommendations for starters (Onion Loaf - 1/2 serving) when we asked how big it was. Stating that if we all had our own main courses, the 1/2 Loaf is enough for 3 people. Good and speedy service for a Saturday night Bill for 3 people, including drinks and dessert was RM 198. |
