Yup, the walkman, one of the best player currently in the market. Nice SQ Gd news about Senn IE8, you don't need any amp for it to shine, I've tried Enig's iBasso D1, Secret amp and Xjian1985's unknown headphone amp(forgot the amp of the amp), no huge improvement on the sound whatsoever, you get hissing prob from amping as well, so, amp for IE8? no need, save ur money on smth else I would say. Silver cable, what it did? Silver cable is btr in data transmission, so the data is transmitted cleaner compared to the copper cable, therefore btr sound quality. How's the sound? The bass has deepened(bass improvement, more punchy yet controlled), improved details, and soundstage improvement, in conclusion, making the IE8 one step closer to the Senn HD650 Disadvantage, there's microphonic effect in silver cable( EFN can't eliminate this prob), but rite now you don't hv to worry about the cable, the stock cable is satisfying enuf, until then stay with it, after half year or so then only thinking about recabling.

This is the first recabling attempted by EFN, but it's failed, cable length is too short, connection not firm. I've sent it back for 2nd attempt It's done but I din take any photo of the latest version and the Senn IE8 now is in someone's hand for audition purpose
