Freshly install 7.4.3 or just downgrade coz if downgrade then u need clean all the leftover from the previous install. I think u know what to do since u offer unlock/recovery/upgrade service for RM100.
Tried DFU mode? |

The problem with the phone is dat it's not booting correctly. Thats why u can't get it to restore. When i ask about the battery whether its ok or not becoz when we restore or upgrade, the phone relies solely on the battery even we have it connected to USB. So it must have enough juice to go thru the restore procedure. Its either it can't boot properly or it just booted up halfway. Thats why u got error 1604.
_______________________________________________________ About people charging money for unlocking or the one asking for the service actually it depends on ones preferences. Some time people just don't want to know all the term and software and what not. They just want it to be done with and use it straight away and don't bother if theres upgrade to it or not. Usually these people have $$$ to start with and they got the stuff not becoz of its a wonderful gadget but just following trend. I believe the term is "Kiasu" right? ... not refering to u aaa kiasunkiasi. Hehehehehe. Just like when 3G phone came out ... these people rush out to buy but don't know what is 3G and how to use it. Actually i would charge people money if they just want me to do everything for them coz it takes my time to do those things. I would gladly teach for free ... like i did with some other forumer that i've met coz sharing is caring right. This post has been edited by frozzbyte: Apr 2 2008, 01:49 AM |

i remember reading this in hackint0sh but forget where. Maybe in the hardware section. Better ask ur customer what did he/she did before this to determine the root of the problem. Its the same problem with the "invalid data calibration" thing.

@aneip
How sure are u its the commboard itself need to be replace? If the phone having problem charging and restoring then it would be the logic board. I've encounter a case where the logicboard is busted and can't restore thru itunes with error 1604. Since u can boot using ibooter then its not the commboard problem. If not mistaken ... the invalid data calibration can be solve with ibooter or the dev team wifi-fix. I'm not too sure bout this. Need to google more on this. Added on April 14, 2008, 1:17 am@andynyau and @scripted That thing happen to u bcoz u tried to change the SSH password in 1.1.3/4 using the inferior BSD subsystem despite its being warned. Maybe u didn't read thru the warning when installing BSD. There's ways u can do to patch this up so u can change the password. I would recommend using cydia as this will install telesphoreo, a more advance and stable version of the BSD subsystem. With this u can change the password without locking up ur phone. Added on April 14, 2008, 1:52 am@aneip Yup ... read thru ipluspwns and they recommend using the wifi fix from dev team. U got nothing to loose right. If this fails then u need to replace the commboard after all. Good luck mate. This post has been edited by frozzbyte: Apr 14 2008, 01:52 AM |

New commboard will still use the S-GOLD2 chip. Same as other iphone. If bootneuter stuck at determine current setting then it might be a busted commboard after all.
Winpwn won't solve ur problem. Pwnage works with the s5l8900 chip while bootneuter handles the S-GOLD2 chip. |
