Anyone got any advice or wanna try to fix this phone. I stuck at Apple boot logo. It seem it cannot boot. Able to enter recovery mode and DFU mode but unable to restore.
After starting a restore, the phone will reboot and Itunes will never to detect it again. After some time it just give error msg 1604. Try on multiple computer even mac. Kick out of DFU/Recovery mode using ziphone + iLiberty both fail. Any suggestion please post here.
Anyone wanna try fixed also can PM me with location + fee.

Done that.. Still the same.. Also try on xp, vista + mac.. After Itunes extract the firmware, the progress bar end then Iphone will reboot show white apple logo. Usually Itunes will start writing the firmware, and Iphone show spinning wheel. But on this phone, Itunes progress by just scroll around like waiting for Iphone. In Iphone, no spinning wheel come out.

Freshly install 7.4.3 or just downgrade coz if downgrade then u need clean all the leftover from the previous install. I think u know what to do since u offer unlock/recovery/upgrade service for RM100. Tried DFU mode?

I do offer the service but sometime thing happen which it shouldn't happen. Car mechanic sometimes send the car to other. Dr sometime send their kids to other clinics.. Soft engineer to send their computer for servicing to other places.. No offence taken. You pass to somebody else when you can't do it right.. Tried DFU, clean reinstalling of Itunes. I not only seeking for help here but paid service also welcomed.

Maybe the last option is to Refurbish the phone using ZiPhone.
No offense TS, but i actually never understand why do people charge for unlocking services...worse still, at a hefty price. Local handphone shops offer such a service at RM200+. In the first place, all these unlocking tools were released FREE for the benefit of the community. The original authors did not even charge us a single cent for all the time and effort they spent...who are we to start charging people money by using their work? To make the price look even more ridiculous, these tools are completely automated, require no programming skills, and absolutely idiot-proof. I can understand if you're selling hardware unlock tools like the modified SIM card (or whatever you call it) but this...?! It wouldn't hurt really to just let people know sometimes how to do it. Just my 2 cents. No hard feelings.

The problem with the phone is dat it's not booting correctly. Thats why u can't get it to restore. When i ask about the battery whether its ok or not becoz when we restore or upgrade, the phone relies solely on the battery even we have it connected to USB. So it must have enough juice to go thru the restore procedure. Its either it can't boot properly or it just booted up halfway. Thats why u got error 1604.

About people charging money for unlocking or the one asking for the service actually it depends on ones preferences. Some time people just don't want to know all the term and software and what not. They just want it to be done with and use it straight away and don't bother if theres upgrade to it or not. Usually these people have $$$ to start with and they got the stuff not becoz of its a wonderful gadget but just following trend. I believe the term is "Kiasu" right? ... not refering to u aaa kiasunkiasi. Hehehehehe. Just like when 3G phone came out ... these people rush out to buy but don't know what is 3G and how to use it. Actually i would charge people money if they just want me to do everything for them coz it takes my time to do those things. I would gladly teach for free ... like i did with some other forumer that i've met coz sharing is caring right.

well to some they just don't wanna screw things up and let others who have experience to do it. I myself have quite a handful of customers that are like that. oh ya i do donate to those guys, its not a big amount but still is doing something for the community

Will check all the post above.. Well I do have the reason why I put RM100 services. Actually it just to discourage people with simple problem. I deal with 100+ customer, even the simple thing the make a bit noise and ask to meet. I do this part time, no shop whatsoever. It hard to meet ur customer again just to show a few minutes of trick.
FYI I never charge my customer RM100, it just a figure. Just think like this, this is a vallet service for Iphone. You can choose to park ur car urself or ask the vallet (correct words a??) to do it, 1 free and another with fee.
Agreed completely with hanx/frozzbyte, it not about free tools it about time and effort.. I help a lot in here and ask for nothing. I don't use the Iphone but I know a lot. Mostly from reading and that is my effort and my time.
BTW, for this case I just help 1 of my customer. I shouldn't be responsible since it 100% working when I pass to him and he already use for a long time. Also hoping this info can help others.
Added on April 2, 2008, 11:42 amBTW, I see a few cases like this in hackintosh.. I believe the problem is not with Itunes.. It the phone it self.
I found out, for normal process
1. DFU mode -> DFU driver 2. After Iphone reboot (DFU complete) -> Iboot driver 3. Wheel start spinning -> Apple Mobile Driver
but for this phone it stuck at step 2.. After reboot it can't enter Apple mobile driver and after a while Itunes will timeout show error 1604.

i remember reading this in hackint0sh but forget where. Maybe in the hardware section. Better ask ur customer what did he/she did before this to determine the root of the problem. Its the same problem with the "invalid data calibration" thing.

Anybody doing comm board replacement. Looking for something like RM500 including replacement board n installation n testing.
Still no hope for this phone to come alive.
Side story..
Yesterday got a person PM for coz of their problem. I reply and guide him to right direction and then he ask a few more questions. Plus offering some money to be transferred to my account if I can help. I referred him to iclarified tutorial with some tips/trick. Then I heard nothing, not even thank you. Guess the phone come alive back. Not even my customer.
Yesterday also, got 5 missed can in 15 minutes. Customer call with a problem. Teach him to restore and unlock. Then silent, not even thanks sms..
This is reality worlds we live in.
