QUOTE(darklight79 @ Apr 11 2008, 07:27 AM) ........high poundages with high reps ftw. =) are you into competitive bb? Yeah you can use my diet as a reference but please do adjust it to tailor your needs. Remember that I need way mroe calories than the average person because of the high volume of my workouts. thank you Damn... who is that guy you met whom i gave tips to? I'd like to know who the heck i inspired. ><;; Lol. hopefully i will bump into that guy again once am into california fitness centre. his physique remind me of bruce lee in bigger form. deep cuts and ripped Anyway i you have any other questions feel free to ask. Peace. err.... don't you think that i need more potato. oats and brocolli? i am over 177cm and my weight used to be 55kg. gained another 5kg under 8 months. slow rate. thanks in advance.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Apr 12 2008, 01:17 PM) Try giving me your height in feet and inches please. I'm more used to measurements like ounces instead of ml and inches instead of cm. Yes, i think you need more carbs in your diet if you want to bulk. No, I am not into competitive bodybuilding but I'm being pressured by my gym mates and other competitive bodybuilders in my gym to compete. I don't think i ever intend to, i'm quite happy with my level of leanness and size. close to 5' 9" and about 130lb. a lot of people actually adviced me to gain weight and bulk up before going into weight training. btw, i just want a decent body and getting rid of the visible bones. getting into a quarter of your size will be a bonus.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Apr 12 2008, 02:45 PM) I get annoyed with people like that cos what is the most effective way to bulk up?? Eat till one gets fat? =P The gym is the best place to bulk up. And yeah, at 5'9", you need to get in a lot of calories to bulk up. Complement that with a solid weight training program and you'll be fine. now that i am working in bukit bintang area, i am planning to join california fitness center in menara standard chartered soon. hopefully i'll be able to reach my goal. thanks a lot

hi darklight79! just passing by to say happy new year! based on the cut down routine of yours, i'd been building muscles pretty good lately. thanks dude agree with you about the chin ups / wide grip chin ups; it will only strengthen your arms with lotsa' ripped lines here and there but not bulking 'em up. been there doing that @yingjee, the fastest way to reduce the excess baggage is by doing cardio sports; ie; jogging / running / cycling.

QUOTE(-Dan @ Mar 7 2009, 06:16 PM) Inclined DB presses work well for this, if I'm not mistaken. thanks. tried em but the problem could be caused by myself hitting the ppv only twice a month most of the time i was on my own at home.

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Mar 8 2009, 11:15 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Any form of incline pressing work. Add in incline dumbell flyes. Start off always with incline work or make your chest workouts all incline movments, eg. incline smith bench, incline db bench and incline machine press together with incline flyes if they're proving real stubborn. Yeap. A lot of trainees are more advanced in their chest strength than they think. Question you need to ask yourself is, are your other bodyparts even up to par with your chest in the first place? Even if your other bodyparts are progressing, they need to be compared to the current progression of your chest. If you bench press is currently let's say 70kg and your barbell row is less than 50kg, which is supposed to be near your bench press strength, then you need to work on other bodyparts first. Lol, i don't get it with some guys and their ego muscles. All they think about is chest, chest and chest. If your other bodyparts aren't strong enough to lend support for chest strength, reprioritize. You'll always hear people whining about their arms and chest being not up to par. You rarely hear people complaining about their back or calves or quads. All these make up the complete package. You'd be surprised. Less than 35. thanks for the tips, Darklight btw, my upper chest is my weakest point. they look odd to my shoulder. even the bone is visible bottom chest is fine though. legs is okay for someone who had been looking up to platz'z for quite sometimes . already cut down on cardios. 179cm / 65kg. kinda underweight but i am naturally skinny; lean and hard a friend advice me on bulk up, follow by cutting, but i find it so hard to bulk up. whey, eggs and potatoes offer less help. less than 35 bucks ?shisha included? jk:P

QUOTE(gtoforce @ Mar 10 2009, 12:01 AM) i like your idea that everything comes in a whole package its really hard to convince even the long timers that the legs do make a lot of impact in their workouts but then again, im always left alone pressing, curling, doing legs extension, calves, and squats when they all are doing back, sholders and chest haha yeah! darklight was absolutely right about it. i saw lotsa' big guy with nice abs with hunchback from notredame look. some has had a big upper body with 'ma ma tei' legs. like sly. stallone back then. nah, you are not alone. i was growing up admiring old timers bb like tom platz's legs...and slowly look up to zane... too bad i have a big problem in bulking up due to fast metabolisme rate and excessive cardios.
