Do we need to put glue on it ar? Or does it already have glue?
*
Hi mojam ,

Thanks for the question. The answer is Yes!we need to apply the glue 1st b4 stick to the metal area or plastic compartment. The foam with the 3M glue is aesy to peel off when it directly overheated directing from engine or sun.I was been used this product oso.As DIY u can put the glue very easy witin the brush.

Happy save driving

Bought 10mm mat from seller the other day@MyDin. Used it for my open pod heatshield. DIY work! very satisfied with it.

You need to apply own glue to stick. For hot areas like engine bay, use those Dunlop glue sold at hardware shop. RM4-5 for a small bottle.

Many Thank jiash87!

Nice information and method u have.Another way to "firewall" is just stick the bitumen foil upper the inner fender metal part only.Solve 1thing problem.

QUOTE(jiash87 @ May 19 2008, 09:29 PM)
No basically you remove the plastic wheel arches,if there's any. But I think older cars don't have such thing.

Gud Morning pokju,

Bitumen : used widely for wrapping metal part to avoid rust, seal the metal, and protect the metal.

It is widely used in the protection wrapping of Cast Iron in transporting system.

It can be also used for waterproofing usuage.

Thickness: 1. 5mm-3mm.

The way we soundproofing as DIY bitumen can be more proven for solidness sound from metal part without kling, klong, esp for doors or bonnet underway carry.

It will leak after we stick it at metal part that we will never used for any car service or upgrading. That is the way "bitumen" work job

Normally used for optional as required by user itself.TQVM

QUOTE(pokju @ May 22 2008, 03:13 PM)
