Would a 24-105LIS EF24-105 f/4L IS USM be suited for general purpose. Some out door and in door photo? It is to be paired with a Canon 40D.

ler, why the DOF so cacat wan. being L thread, thought your focus would be on the L lens rather than the body.

non IS is less than 3k la.

L lenses water resistant to a good extent. I usually wash my lenses under running water  if they're dirty and they're fine. But sometimes crap like sand can infiltrate the focusing ring, if that happens, using a needle to scrape inside the ring is the best course of action.

Adding a tightly fitted filter will generally further water proof L lenses, especially ones with moving front elements.

which type you want first? there are 2 diff types.. ori and knock-off.
The Canon Tripod Mount Ring A II (W) cost at least usd100 and the knock-off ones are around RM150 (sold at YL of course).
