there is a huge price difference for Kenko and Hoya though they are from the same manufacturer. for me the filter is just acting as a protector for the lens, as long as not affecting the picture quality, any brand will do.

QUOTE(empire23 @ Aug 6 2008, 08:04 AM) L lenses water resistant to a good extent. I usually wash my lenses under running water if they're dirty and they're fine. But sometimes crap like sand can infiltrate the focusing ring, if that happens, using a needle to scrape inside the ring is the best course of action. you are one of the craziest ppl...i wonder when u'll go diving with yr lens bare naked. Adding a tightly fitted filter will generally further water proof L lenses, especially ones with moving front elements. |

QUOTE(nairud @ Aug 12 2008, 03:04 PM) which type you want first? there are 2 diff types.. ori and knock-off. wow, such a huge difference. what causes the price difference? build quality or another 'canon means luxury thing'?The Canon Tripod Mount Ring A II (W) cost at least usd100 and the knock-off ones are around RM150 (sold at YL of course). it's shares the same tripod collar with 300mm F4L |
