^ the 24-70 f2.8 is well known for it's sharpness at middle range, try anything arn 35-55 u'll get very sharp image but not at the widest and longest end.

bro, even it's an L lens, do not expect razor sharp images from the widest end when wide open.

you should know the behavior of the lens before you really invested on it, if not will end up like me, buy and sell.

what if i tell you i sold my 24-70 and went for a 50 f1.4? are you going to do the same now? laugh.gif

Most of the primes are sharper than zooms. Just like the Canon 135mm f2 L USM. Very sharp even @ wide open f2.0. *poison* *poison*

Know the character of the lens, and what are you going to achieve with it.

The 24-70 F2.8 is a bread and butter lens for most wedding photographers and why is that? because of decent performance in low light. So if you just wanted a general walk around lens with decent performance, you still have a lot of choices to choose from. 4K means a lot to most ppl here, we ought to spend it wisely.

btw, me no pro icon_rolleyes.gif
