Who We Are
The Southeast Asian Service Leadership Network (SEALNet) was founded at Stanford University in 2004. Our mission is to create a cross-cultural network between students and professionals interested in Southeast Asian developmental issues. Our goal is to empower students to create positive change both by participating in service leadership projects and by inspiring other students to become leaders in their own communities.

ermm... any perks for participants?

Well, it's a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world, learn more about yourself, help out a community, be a mentor to local high school and so on =).

Also, I forgot to mention, all expenses are paid for for the entire duration of the projects but you'll have to cover the expenses to fly there and back on your own.

TS, have you joined this summer project before? I'm working on the essay and i'm not reli sure what i'm crapping, haha. Is it easy to get?

hey blumarooz... yup, i joined the previous project vietnam. we helped out a school for street children... it was an amazing experience for me;i really learnt a lot, not only abt others bt abt myself as well ^^

when applying, just be yourself... easy to get, i can't say... when i submitted my app last year, i really didn't expect i'll get it. bt i did =) (me without any prior experience at all)

oh i'll try my best. I'm not so good in my english. I think this is a major disadvantage for me. cross my fingers and hope for the best!

250 words, so don't worry, not asking you to write a novel XD

I've submitted my application d. will they inform me upon the submittion of form via email? I'll get back to you on 21st april to let you know whether i got it or not. Hehe thanks TS.

its still too much to think of anything to write, since i dont have any motive except to see what i can help

I chose the Philippines project. No 2nd choice. either get it or not. Not reli interested in other projects. I reli love working with children and students. Will they contact me via hp is i get it? I wans kinda blur during my filling of form. I hope i gave the correct email address.

sure, go ahead and apply! there are people who applied and got in who have just graduated. like me, i finished my studies in may, went in june 07. and yes, grab chances! now i'm working, not able to go for things like these T___T

last time around i use to join up those charity work... it's fun and great feeling

I got selected for the Philippines Project!!!!! YEA!!!!!! *doink doink* OK, Now i gotta worry on how i'm going to get the money to buy airfare ticket.... T.T

how much dya have to pay for the airfare?

The round trip fare is about RM400 from LCCT to Clark, philippines
then i gotta figure out how to get to cebu from Clark which is reli far apart.
DEVILtonight, Which programme did you join previously? To philippines as well? I have zero idea about that country.
