"For trades below RM100,000, online brokerage fees are 0.42% of trade value
For trades above RM100,000, online brokerage fees are 0.21% of trade value
For Day Trading, the brokerage fees are 0.15% of trade value
Minimum brokerage is RM28
Clearing fees – 0.03% of the trade value subject to a maximum of RM1,000 per transaction
Stamp duty – RM1 for every RM1,000 of trade value subject to a maximum of RM200 per transaction"
I copied this from osk website cos not sure how to interpret it
So lets say i am buying rm2 x1000 units worth of shares.the total i have to pay is the sum of
Rm2.00x1000 = rm2000
Rm2000x0.42%=rm8.40 <--- Your brokreage charges is lower than min. so you need to pay RM28
Rm28(min brokerage)
Rm2000x0.3% (clearing fees)=rm6 <--- also wrong is x 0.03% = RM 0.60
Rm2(stamp duty) <----- wrong is RM 3, by adding all share price + brokerage + clearing fees. for every 1K value, stamp duty will be charge RM1.
So total is rm2000+rm8.40+rm28+rm6+rm2= rm2044.
Is this rite?
So your real total charges are RM 2000 + RM28 + RM 0.60+ RM3 = RM 2031.60 For trades above RM100,000, online brokerage fees are 0.21% of trade value
