that is wat i want actually in dealing with broker but the disadvantage is the broker fees is very expensive as compared to online account...since everyone here is interested in OSK i m very sure that this is a reputatable as well as trusted company...
so i m keen to know which company suits me if i wan a cheaper alternative... my last option is only 2, OSK/CIMB

thanks & regards notworthy.gif

QUOTE(bliss85 @ Aug 9 2009, 12:28 PM)
Hmm, let me see...

OSK188 is a page for OSK Investment Bank's customers to log-in and do their own trading there without going through the dealers.
Hence, lower transaction fee. If I could remember correctly, it costs about +-RM30 per transaction (Buy/Sell) online as compared to +-RM40 through the dealers.

Therefore, you will have to register as their customer in order for you to do so.

Visit any of their branch, fill up a form, apply for a CDS account, pay a fee of RM20 I think and you can start trading in a few days time.

Whether it is safe of not, I cannot really comment.

By the way, Jupiter securities charge a much lower transaction fee at RM10 (min) per transactions. Furthermore, its more convenient as your orders will be sent straight to Bursa for approval instead of through the dealers first as per OSK. The last I heard though is that OSK is also moving towards the same way for their online trades. Not too sure whether it has been implemented yet. Maybe someone can share about this?

Good luck anyway TS  rclxms.gif

sometimes it is good to go through dealer... coz i have experienced keyed in the wrong price many times sweat.gif
the biggest mistake is i have key in to sell the wrong counter at different price... doh.gif

they just wanna avoid short selling... better safe than sorry...

yeah... no need subscribe for rm20/month whereby u can get this feature at other investment bank for free...
but OSK platform not only lagging in 15sec but u also cannot use the stocktracker, historical chart which is extremely useful to me...
if u wan to use the stocktracker open another account with local bank like maybank... their stocktracker is even more advance...

There are more things that you will discover later.

Wondering why you still want to deal with Mayban. laugh.gif
*
i open up another account coz OSK trading portal wasnt good enough...
i cannot view the stock tracker while i can get it from maybank for free...
and the maybank stock tracker is more advance with how gauges like buy rate, now many order r there queing for the moment, etc
and u can say that i m stingy but i still retain my deal with OSK smile.gif
