Mugen no Jyuunin... Me and stormy has doubt about it tho. even before it was announced we feel that Hiroaki's style is not something that easily animated. Not to mention Mugen no Jyuunin is not your typical manga either.

Teh mangaka never wanted this to be animated, and looking at the screenshot, it does not bring out the beauty of Hiroaki's art. Shame on you

A mangaka only has 4~5 years to hold his license to a certain series. After that it goes to the publisher. and it's the publisher's decision after that what to do with the series. Thus even if the mangaka don't want it to be animated, after 4 years he cannot say anything to stop it

QUOTE(wolfx @ Mar 25 2008, 06:35 PM) Srsly? Sauce? Normal Intellectual Property laws state that the creator holds the copyrights for the rest of his life + 70 years before it goes into the freedomain unless of course he sells his work/soul to the evil publishing companies. There are variations but 5 years sounds abit short. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intellectual_propertymango is not under intellectual property act. And I read that in an old shounen jump when Shueisha released an apology to Watsuki after he b****es to them for agreeing to make the Kenshin OVA without his consent
