The official Japanese website for the recently announced Blade of the Immortal television anime is now online with a sample image. The site also revealed that the project will run on Japan's AT-X animation satellite channel. Yoshimitsu Yamashita (Murder Princess, Samurai Champloo animation director) will design the characters that Production I.G's BeeTrain subsidiary (.hack// franchise, Noir, El Cazador de la Bruja) will animate.

Mugen no Jyuunin... Me and stormy has doubt about it tho. even before it was announced we feel that Hiroaki's style is not something that easily animated. Not to mention Mugen no Jyuunin is not your typical manga either.

A mangaka only has 4~5 years to hold his license to a certain series. After that it goes to the publisher. and it's the publisher's decision after that what to do with the series. Thus even if the mangaka don't want it to be animated, after 4 years he cannot say anything to stop it

Normal Intellectual Property laws state that the creator holds the copyrights for the rest of his life + 70 years before it goes into the freedomain unless of course he sells his work/soul to the evil publishing companies. There are variations but 5 years sounds abit short.
OMG who the fark is the character designer for this anime? he deserves to be shot! production I.G or Madhouse should be animating this not some lame ero,shoujo studio such as Bee Train, wtf... look at the original manga arts below and judge for yourself

mango is not under intellectual property act. And I read that in an old shounen jump when Shueisha released an apology to Watsuki after he b****es to them for agreeing to make the Kenshin OVA without his consent
u can say that boss but it have blood and dark humor. and the storyline.. awesome!! greatest manga i ever read.jusr f***ing beautiful man. oh..the adrenaline.
