don't bother buying those so called Local Original DVDs from any local video stores. Almost all are chopped version. For example, at Speedy now you can see Lust Caution on sale, but you think you'll get the original version where you can see Tony Leung's balls?
Better get those imported version from online stores like Amazon or Playasia

buying one or two disc usually can pass through the radar undetected. I ordered a few movies from Amazon before also never got inspected/hold by custom. As long as its not porn then you should be fine. Lust Caution not considered as porn what

obefiend, those you bought locally issit also printed locally?
FYI, most of those cheaper local printed version (eg: speedy version) did went through the chopping process.
Some selling in the video stores are overseas R3 version, last time they used to have a section just for R1 version. Those I can confirm are uncut version.
I did bought a few movie from speedy before since it's cheap, but I can't remember which movies I bought... since I either gave them away or end up in the rubbish bin after I found out they were chop chop version and the picture and audio quality sucks anyway.

well... those buggers in LFP will only be able to get their scissors on the locally pressed DVDs, they don't care if its for public or private viewing. As long as it got any content they don't agree with... chop chop!!
So if you want untouched DVDs, get those imported one. Just check the back of the DVD cover, if you see it's produced locally by some local production company, very high chance are they are the inferior version.
For censoring BR content, unless we are pressing the BR locally, there's no way those bugger can chop chop the BR content, which means right now all BR movies in the market are all uncensored one  since as far as I know, M'sia don't have the equipments to produce BR yet.

if the movie doesn't have any extreme violent scenes or nudity, they usually will leave it as it lor... nothing to chop chop mar...
try to buy local version of Troy, you won't see the scene of Brad Pitt sleeping with a few nude girls at the beginning. Try also local pressed version of Naked Killer, all of the nude scenes are taken out, especially the maggie Q's love scenes

I doubt you'll see any differences in both of the R1 and R3 version of Alien Quadrilogy since the R3 also is an imported version, so usually there won't be any chop chop locally. btw, R1 Alien Quadrilogy from Amazon is really cheap! RM83.20 only (without postage)! Now very tempted to get one copy also...
