I just need some opinion on LCD TV. Currently my XBOX is hooked up on Philips 26" LCD TV. It's kinda too small and because of it's curvy shape i can't wall mount it. I was thinking of getting a Sony Bravia (they are having warehouse sale) and they kinda recommended this 2 model.

Sony Bravia KDL D series 32D3000 (about RM 3K)
Sony Bravia KDL S series 32S310A (RM 2K only)

I went to other shop mostly recommend me

Samsung LA32R71B
LG 32LC7R

There are tonnes of variety of LCD TV is going on out there. It's really a headache to find one rclxub.gif . Don't mind sharing which LCD TV you guys use and do you seem to have problems with other brands beside sony with your xbox.

What's your budget bro?

Rule of thumb: Get the best your money can buy.

Sony is always a safe buy. They will never dissapoint. I'm using a 32in Phillips PFL7332/98 and very happy with it.

The LG refresh rate not so good. Brightness is also a problem.

Samsung is good value but the Sony D Series is better sans the price

My budget is about 2.5K till 3K ....

i think the toshiba regza quality is quite nice...colour is quite natural...eyes feels quite comfortable even after a few hours watching tv as compare to samsung and sony.

Get the Sharp lah, A53 32" 100Hz heheh. Panel is directly imported from Japan, so they say. I'm using a PX5M myself.

Currently im using Sony Bravia V Series with my Xbox 360. Im fully satisfied with the picture quality in term of brightness and contrast when playing games and also watch dvd movie. My Lcd is 32 inch and the price when i bought is RM3499, but now i saw in Sony KLCC and Seng Heng around RM2999 only, best deal, they are 3 color choices for V series (Red, Blue nad Black) if i not mistaken, and it is capable to full HD 1080P.

I would not recommed for S series because the brightness and contrast are low. For D series i have no idea, but for your budget i suggest u go for V series instead of S series. But if you pocket is full enough, go buy X Series instead hehe

Good day,

Yeah i've saw this series with a PS3 before.. heheh ... But actually I'm more into space issue ... So far the only size that permits my space is 32 inch .. If i do have space i don't mind buying a X series thumbup.gif ....

I was thinking between "S" series and "D" series , I've really never thought of V series as my wall is Olive Green ..heheh ...

get the bravia s series. I am one of the satisfied owner of 32" s series. The price difference between s and v is big but the improvement just can't justify the price gap.  So just go for s only, u can save ur money to buy more games...

Good day,

I was at work and I pass by sony centre ... Somehow "S" and "V" series got big difference. "V" are much finer. while "S" series i notice when they play spiderman .. it was pretty noisy. I don't know whether it was a cable or anything ... but i didn't have time to ask.... But i really do appreciate your comment.

Thank you

Weekend went for LCD TV Hunting. And it was "HELL" ... all the LCD TV i also like ..hehehe ... there was pros and cons in each and everyone but there's 2 model i kinda like a lot. I was surprise by there's a 32" Plasma ..

LG 32PC5DVC - 32" plasma TV
Sharp AQUOS LCD TV LC32A53M
Sony 32" "V" series

These are the final 3 (sorta) narrowed down to my list.

Sighhh .......

For gaming, avoid plasma if you can. Although they offer better color than LCD, burn-in will be an issue even with newer gen plasmas.

NOTED: no plasma ...hehehe .....

I would suggest Sharp's 100hz A53.
Sony is just too much dough to justify those measly extra so called "enhancements". Unless you buy S series and blow the rest of your money on more games biggrin.gif. Preferably COD4.  rclxms.gif

But if you really want to watch Astro with your LCD, I suggest go for Sony, due to the Astro Picture Enhancement.

One thing you should know about the Astro Picture Enhancement, it DOES NOT IMPROVE your astro picture, it will adjust or you can manually adjust your lcd tv to somehow match the broadcast quality of Astro.

Too bad .. Room got no astro .. i didn't know astro have astro picture enhancement ..hehehe ...
