Hi guys, just a simple question here, I tried overclocking my E8400 to 3.6Ghz, which is a pretty small amount compared to wha tyou guys have done, should I increase the cpu voltage or anything for that? Because I did not increase any voltage or whatever, just the cpu frequency but it won't boot into windows. It will show the loading bar (vista 64 bit btw) but when the windows logo is supposed to show up and make some music, it doen't. I changed back to 3GHz and it was back to normal. So the question is whether the bios is unstable? (I'm still using the first version, lazy to update) or the voltage too low? Or too hot? Thanks for your help guys.
btw the whole bpoint i wanted to overclockin the first plac eis because my 3dmark06 score got 13k++ like that, with 9800GTX sli, which it hink is quite low. What do you guys think?
