the tristar is ok... a bit bulky and the leg cant bend like the other zaku because of the big ass booster at his leg.... btw you can always refer at dalong.net (we told this over and over and over and over.. dejavu)

FODDER SOLDIER RETURNS!

Ah, it's nice to post here again. Last I remembered (one year past?) this thread was so different, now it has apparently split into two distinct threads; this GMMT thread and the Work In Progress and Mecha Modelling Gallery. Now with different batch of residents, and many that I don't see posting here anymore. Examples of notable LYNers I could pull off from my head now: clivengu, cajun2de, eehtsitna, boyarque, Fasap, young_soul, hitsugayat10, epsilon_chinwk86, heretic6, kct-86, Duke Beard, Undici, asuk, whoami123, Storm V and infested. Where thou people have gone? Methinks they have taken to other boards for their primary lurking zones. Although I won't be surprised if they ARE still hovering around here still. At least we still have the likes of boltguard, 300078 and 'Ghazzer still around.

I'm drafting this essay out with Vocaloid and Gundam 00 Caramelldansen running continuously in the background (U, U, Ua Ua DIABEETUSSADJKKJPTH-). Imagine the sugar rush. I'm not a coffee person, I'm more of a Milo addict, ho. Chhooooccooooolaaaaate....



And thus, after many busy months, several blackouts, many DSL blinking sessions, eternal asshat ISP, one solo trip to the northern states, one family trip to Tasmania, one LYN gathering, two anime conventions, two weeks of sick leave, and a constant presence of depression just under the surface, everything's fine here. What you said about the possible architecture of a MG V2 is correct, but after seeng how Bandai pulled off the F91, and from having built all three 1/60, 1/100 and 1/144 scale versions of the V2 I'd have to say that it is entirely possible for a MG V2. Of course, as seen from the lineart of the V2 Gundam, one obvious point of articulation that will not come to be is at the waist (same goes to V Gundam). Don't see any problems with articulation of the limbs.

What's next? FACE-OFF TIEM, of course!

Cheers, dude. The Sakura Taisen V's STARS units do interest my fancy, but I still have a stronger attachment to the mecha from the original Teikoku Kagekidan. (Yeah, I love the Sakura Taisen saga, too). Pretty unique for them to create a variable-form variant of the Koubu; seeing how the design progressed from the Paris' Erica Corps flight-capable version.


About those designs? Mmm, FiveStarStories-styled goodness. Not sure of Lord Nagano himself drew those.

Oh, thanks kurz for the update. Maybe it's from the same guy who was building that scratchbuilt Sinanju in the pic 'Ghazzer posted a while back.


I see the upcoming PlaMos are raising hopes for promising future kits. I've been waiting for 1/100scale of any Flag or Tieren and it is done. Sergei's Tieren is welcomed too (as to this date I'm getting every 00 kit anyway). But man, I think I'll give some time for the GNArms price to lower some more (what I've seen in XL raises eyebrows. Will see how TM and Grafitti prices it). I'm still waiting for Thrones unit 2 and 3, and HGUC Nu to reach here.

And I'm wondering how the Bandai kits for Macross Frontier series will turn out. Not that many great non-Gundam PlaMos being made these days. My sincerest wish for thw world of PlaMo? Bandai to try make a few more noteworthy non-Gundam model kits. There are still many awesome mecha titles to dip into.

The R-1, yeah I see one moot drooling for it already. Since its 1/100 scale this time, will the dream of a fully-transformable combining SRX be possible soon? Aha. Where's HGUC Kaempfer and SazabiCOMING SOOOOOONN... yes? Geara doga is fine too. And I sort of remembered an article from Gunota, where Bandai people polled fan response about next possible MG kits of Kshatriya or Sinanju, and the former won more votes.

The MG Impulse? Ho hum, transformation? Blargg, MINIMAL transformation does not appease me. Tucking your arms and hand weapons close to your torso and slight retraction of the knee joints DOES NOT constitute as a transformation in my book. Oh yeah, forgot to mention the legendary BeeCraft retarded proportions redesign. But this rant of design is probably more potent at the Gundam anime thread.

So in retrospect, the general outlook of possible favourite Plamo kits being made seems bright. And now I post some shopped future dreams that can make my world of PlaMo real bright indeed:

(Come to think of it, I'm surprised that no one has yet tried an MG conversion to make a 1/100scale Hazel. Hmm...)
And I wanted to shop a cover for an MG Xi Gundam soon, in honour of az_shah's awesome Xi conversion project. Kudos, sensei!


ABOUT TIME. Yeah, maybe then I'll melt down all those hoarded extra leftover PlaMo runners and use it as my alternative car fuel. Waste not, har.

Which leads to one question I've been wanting to ask you guys. What DO you do with the runners? Keep them for some growing art masterpiece? Just toss them with the trash? 'Cause I am wondering what to do with them. I tend to keep the printed box covers (like the graphics) but along with every purchase comes more surplus plastic. I don't know about you, but just garbaging them is not a logical prospect for me (Yeah, I am somewhat of a gaiafag). Maybe edan1979, VincC454 and can tell me best, since they have such hueg collections.

I'm really wondering if Bandai has some kind of runner recollection bins scattered all around area 11, seeing how their recycling industry tech is far superior to ours. Actually they darn well should do this.
