oh yeah, where can i get drumset with a reasonable price?
cuz i saw the price selling in bently quite pricey...

i hope you guys can help on this..thx!

just my opponion, no point getting good drum sets if you using it for practicing unless for performance... if you have the money go for yamaha or roland electric drum as it wont disturb your neighbour cuz can adjust the volume or use head-phone but you wont have the feel when you hitting it... it cost around 3-4k...

I'm no drummer, but my principle on starting out on any instrument is the same. Go for the cheapest you can find. And then after you know what you need to get, get it straight away. No point wasting money buying a "decent" beginners kit.

That being said, i mean of course the cheapest proper drum kit and not some plastic toy you get from toysrus.

get rid of annoying neighbours? if you're the one hitting the drums, then ur the annoying one la dude. go and ask your whole neighbourhood. ppl will start identifying you as the one that hits the drums. and i have my fair share on this. lol. and i do think mutepads are the most efficient and cheap way. its either u mute the drums, or buy earplugs for others. haha. to make your room soundproof? u can get at least another two or three decent kits. so, its not worth it if your intention is to practice.

and if youre really want to get a cheap decent set, i would suggest u to go with pdp ez series. js music have one on display and u can try, hit, bang, bash, or whatever u do when testing a kit. theyve changed the skins and for practice, i personally think its worth it. price? can get it for 1250 or less. much cheaper then other entry lvl kit. try posting under the drummers thread. i think ull get more replies there.

you misread his post. he said getting rid of annoying HIS neighbours.
meaning he's being considerate.

oh and from what i learned from playing guitar hero, if your neighbours complain about your volume, turn it up even more and drive them away smile.gif

You gots a few choices actually....

Ludwig has a pretty good entry level drum kit... the Ludwig Accent Combo CS available at bentley's for bout RM1600++..... made of selected veneer hardwoods and with ludwig hardware...its a good choice... get some remo heads and some good cymbals and you've got a nice kit

The Pearl Forum is a really good choice (i have one)
it sounds really nice...i bought mine secondhand with sabian B8's and an xs20 crash.... (buying secondhand is a good idea, assuming the items in good condition [you can get nicer kits for cheaper]) this is recommended

If you have a bit more cash to burn get a Pearl Export cos it has more precise bearing edges, wood hoops, better hardware...etc
provided you can find them though.... theyve been recently discontinued but since its the most top-selling drumset of ALL TIME, it could be worth alot someday wink.gif

If you've REALLY got low cash, get a peace or something but i HIGHLY recommend you get something slightly better if you're serious abt drums. cos you dont want to get something that you'll regret later on.

The Imperialstar is a good choice. No cymbals though (try to get some good bronze/brass cymbals secondhand) it has 100% glued wraps, Accu-tune bass drum hoops, smaller lugs and won best drumset of the summer NAMM show 2007...... a VERY good choice... (apparently much better than the discontinues swingstar)

Yamaha makes good drumsets with good sturdy hardware. The Rydeen is a good drumset, just ask many of the people in LYN..... im not a fan of yamaha though...so i went with Pearl...

PDP is good too..... the EZ series is oretty good but apparently flimsy hardware (right?) and crap cymbals.... but a good beginner drumset nonetheless.. if you want a entry level PDP with DW-like features, check out the EX series (oval lugs, RIMS mounting, better hardware) for RM2400 with cymbals (ask boyboy~~ for the seller)

if you want an electronic drumset with a real-feel, check out the Alesis DM5 pro kit fitted with real remo drumheads.... using the famous Alesis DM5 Module has ALOT of sounds and is VERY customizable. RM2900++

On Jamtank.com's forums i saw a sonor force 507 which is a good entry level kit from sonor which is a trusted brand.... using its Force hardware and Basswood shells, it should be good. ONLY RM2150 but its pretty good for german-built quality =) PM me for the link if ur interested

not forgetting Mapex which is known for their Good quality woods and hardware at reasonable prices.... at good quality.
the V series is the cheapest with 9 ply basswood shells and remo heads. spend abit more and you can get the Q series which is a pretty good upgrade....

for cymbals however is really different... even the best brands can sound not as good as lower brands.... for instance, Sabian Solars sound REALLY bad..... while B8's, XS20, AA,HH etc are all good.... zildjian are known for their good cymbals but if your getting budget cymbals i recommend you dont go there.

Paiste makes good cymbals too. THey have the 101, 201, PST3 and PST5 cymbals which are all pretty nice.

Stagg cymbals are actually pretty good too! for its budget price, the DH crash, DH fat hats and Classic/DH ride combo will work out well... have them in a drum room in my school and they have a nice ring.
Don't be fooled by the name Stagg makes some prettyy decent cymbals...

Bosphorus makes cymbals that arent too bad but i reckon their suited for jazz mainly....

Istanbul mehmet, Alchemy, agop are good.

and MEINL is really good. the have it at DoReMi music....if ur interested
the Hcs and MCS series recommended.

Well thats my LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG post on budget drums/cymbals....

hope i helped wink.gif

thats all my research over the past few months....

And yeah i guess namqul was right.....i did end up posting herree..... smile.gif

Thx guys...
u all really helped me alot...

electronic drumset is kinda pricey for me...
if i need to add any thing extra on the v-drum, around how much would it cost?
eg. extra cymbal...

i think i would go for either Tama Imperialstar, Pearl Forum or Pearl EX only...

Imperialstar.. the bass drum there... got the very big Imperialstar logo..
thatz y dun really like it.. any way can change it to the TAMA logo oni?

how much do the new sets of Imperialstar, Forum and EX cost?
where can i get those?

for cheapest price, whr can i get?
cuz if im not mistaken, Bentley n Rhapsody r selling Imperialstar for 2.4k or 2.5k...
but i heard my friend said that sumwhere selling around 2.1k oni...

any idea where can get cheapest (at least cheaper)?

the shipping from Bentley to my house which in Kelanja Jaya will be a bit costly (i think)...
so im waiting the Bentley in Mutiara Damansara to open... (kekeke...)

or do u think a whole damn drumset can fit in my Iswara Sedan?

for cymbals, i would definately go for Stagg 1st... cuz budget quite tight... haha...
i've tried Sabian Solar n it really sux!!!
Paiste sounds good... but seriously, budget quite tight...

oh yeah, not 4getting..
except for putting on Mutepad, any other way can reduce the sound?
cuz i really cuz i will piss my neighbour off...

mutepad got comes wif for the bassdrum 1? cuz i never saw b4...

hope u guyz dun mind 4 askin 2 much.. i really need help...

You can get a tama imperialstar for RM2000 at theguitarstore Sri Hartamas. dont worry bout the drumhead logo, cos you'll replace it eventually anyway...

The Pearl FX you can get for RM2100 at TGS sri hartamas, with cymbals, dvd, throne etc.

For Pearl EX if you want... one guy on lowyat (metalsam_666) is selling his pearl export in charcoal mettallic for only RM2150 without stands... if you manage to get the stands it'll still be A pretty good deal.

HQ percussion makes soundoff drum mutes the cancel 95% of the sound and they have a box set with Cymbal mutes, hi hat mutes, tom and snare mutes and bass drum mute. costs bout more than RM250 i think... ask namqul, he got some recently....

Also Sabian makes theyre practice disks and cymbal mute practice mutes. They sell the tom/snare pack and the cymbal pack seperately, and it blocks out 90% of the sound so you can hear slightly more compared with the sound of the HQ percussions.

so for the mutes it depends on how much sound do you want?
the sabian one looks good cos it'll be soft but loud enough for you to hear. =D

btw: most of the prices i stated are quoted by tgs sri hartamas... all other shops im not sure.

wow.. thats a very nice price..

u mean the Pearl FX is Pearl Forum?

for u, u would choose the FX or Imperialstar?

I prefer brand new drumset.. not that i care about it's used anot... juz i duno y i prefer brand new...
any Pearl EX still available around kl or selangor?

got the mutepads, i dun wish it would reduce so much of the noise.. at least i can hear the sound..
it's mainly like loud enough for me to hear, soft enough to avoid pissing my neighbour...

i need mutepad for bass drum..
cuz normally i saw mutepad oso w/o the bass drum 1..
i heard JS Music selling Vic Firth mutepad... including bass drum 1..
but i duno how izit...

actually, item selling in TGS sri hartamas quite reasonable price... will drop by n take a look soon after my exam..
the location is around where?

anyway, i cant find the link where metalsam_666 selling the Pearl EX woh...

p.s. nintendo, u really helped me alot.. thx!

and yea FX:Forum...

TGS sri hartamas is around uncle dons and Lotte mart...
theres info on the site: http://theguitarstore.com.my

and ur welcome for the help.... im happy to help someone else for a change... =)

Added on March 26, 2008, 1:05 amOH! dudee... im sorry... the pearl export has been soldd... but heres another good deal on a pearl export..

this ones RM2500 nego WITH cymbals and stands (actually better deal than the other one)

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...hl=pearl+export

this is a pretty good deal! but if your SERIOUSLY not comfortable with buying used then just get a new one at tgs... but just fyi, i recently bought my drumset used and it turned out great... so i think its safe to say that buying used isnt too badd

ok got it...

anyway, i noe where izit edi..
and they have another showroom in damansara perdana, which is quite near my house...
will go there check it out when im free...

i think i will go for Tama Imperialstar..
since im not pro...
dun think that i would go 4 expensive drumset 1st...

Imperialstar with the price RM2k...
really nice...
my budget is below 3k with cymbals..
so i think this shud b okay...

actually, i saw this set quite sum times ago...
mayb im a little fussy.. i dun really like the color...PURPLE!!
but the price is really so tempting...

buying used got its pros n cons lor..
good is they change the drumheads n stuff...
it will sound nicer...
bad is old edi... jz lk mayb scratch, crack n stuff u duno... datz y...

sigh..
i still hav lots more to learn on drumming...

well... as long as the product is in good condition, you should be fine.
but if ur interested in the imperialstar, you could get it with stagg DH hats, DH crash, and a DH ride and that would already be a GOOD combo. but im not sure about the price, could actually be more mahal. ur best bet is to go with Sabian B8's.... i got them and the sound is great!

dont get brass cymbals. totally not worth it.

i got used cymbals but then polished it with some Pro Mark Groove Juice JR cymbal Polish.... now they look good and they sound new!

I honestly think that purple set is a steal. The colour is cool lah - if you keep telling yourself that then you'll eventually believe so =S
If you want, I could go with you to test the kit out?

its not just purple dude, its shining shimmering purple. lol. anyway, bout the practice pads, its good. it does come with a bass drum mute. i dont know how to measure how many percentage it block or mute or muffle the sounds, but hell it really reduce them much. ppl from the next room only hear a bit of knocking like u hitting with some beat on a table. and ppl from next door definitely hears nothing. the only thing that i dont like with it is that im too lazy to take off the mutes if i wanted to play loud. but as you can see, its just me because im lazy. haha. owh, another thing, my hats are 13' and the mute only comes in 14' hats and can fit up to 15'. so no mute for my hats.

plus dude if ur budget is 3k.... you could get the used EX (which ususally costs RM2750 WITHOUT cymbals OR throne) you could use the extra 500 bucks for ur drum mutes...

than after you get the mutes, you'll still have another 200++ bucks, which you can either keep or get more extra's... brows.gif

plus i think the purple is pretty cool.... well its different... biggrin.gif

i waaas actually considering this drumset... but when i asked it was RM3200.... sweat.gif
this dude lowered the price already so its a pretty mnice deal.... otherwise you could check it out first

i dunwan to get very good cymbals 1st until my skill get better...
but stagg shud be okay...

Party2DMax: u live in KJ 2? nice... u really gonna test the kit out?

Namqul: may i noe wut mutepad u using? cuz sabian 1 w/o bassdrum 1... datz y...
how much u bought ur mutepad?
i thinkin of getting for the whole set including the hats n bass drum...
any suggestion?

Nintendo: bro, 2750+500, where got 200 extra more left? haha...

my budget is 3k includes drumset, throne, cymbals n oso mutepads... datz y i think i will go for imperialstar...

oh yeah, for 13' hats n 14' hats, which 1 do u think betta?
how to differentiate?

and for a normal drumset, there r 16' crash n 20' ride, rite?

if i wanna add an additional cymbal, wut shud i add?
18' crash? or wut?

wuts da price range for sabian B8?

firstly, dude i said it NORMALLY (if you buy new) costs rm2750. but if you buy it used from this dude, its RM2500, and then you'll have an extra RM500.

with the extra 500, you'll spend around 300 bucks on mutes so...
RM3000-RM2500-RM300=RM200! so you'd have the drumset, throne, cymbals, mutes and i'll add that the Pearl Export is much better than the imperialstar, and you'll still have RM200

if you get the imperialstar, its RM2000+RM300(for mutes)+RM600-1000 for cymbals= RM2900-RM3300...

so the exports a better deal. unless you are REALLY uncomfortable with buying used/ purple.

but valuewise the used deal is better. its cheaper, better, and you'll have extra for saving up or whatever.

=D

Sorry you misquoted me...

Added on March 27, 2008, 11:55 pmcos even staggs (if you dont want the crappy brass ones) costs at least 600 bucks.

a studio near my house where my band always jam have a set of Paiste 201 cymbals. Frankly speaking, i like the hats better than my previous Sabian Pro hats. It has just nice chick sound and double stroke's sound on it is very clear... Great buy for the price. Btw, i dont use the crashes because i use my own. As for the ride, its really too bright sounding for me.

none of u mention above. its a discontinued model before B8 Pro and Pro Sonix come out. Its in between B8 and AA model.

its still pretty much soughted in Japan market because its cheap price and good rock sounding. I've already sold my Sabian Pro hats and ride recently because i want to upgrade all my cymbals to higher end Zildjian.

dude, im using paiste 201, for me its pretty decent than the 101...i recommend if u wanna buy these cymbal...for crash try looking for 16 inch and above.

coz the 14' crash, the steel sound its quite obvious, and one thing about the 201, its really thick and durable. just my personal opinion

like everyone said, the more the cymbal age the nicer the tone are...tips from a drum tutor(not me, its my friend), dont polish ur cymbal if it has that stick and hand print stain. if u like more of a soothing tone from the cymbal.

hope this help

i bought it at bently last year...i think i heard someone said to me they already stop
making the 201 and 101 series...14' crash,16' crash, 20 ride, 14 hats.....total almost RM1000.
recently, i find bentley is getting worst and worst...especially on drum section. they did not update
their stock...they dont bring in the hot selling product. its getting frustrated.
but i still consider bentley drum product cheaper compare to others. the condition is u must buy more
than one item to get good discount.

the last time i bought export series...the price is the same as forum 2500. for the most friendly
sales person, js is the best.

wow... for 201, 14' crash + 16' crash + 20' ride + 14' hats = RM1000 is kinda cheap...
cuz they quote me a price, for paiste 101 set, which means 16' crash, 20' ride and 14' hats, price is RM700...
really not worth for 101 as they are juz brass cymbals...
bentley is selling cheap? sure? but i heard alot of ppl said bentley sell those things quite expensive.. compare to TGS...

i only saw 101 in TGS but dun hav 201...

anyway, pearl export is selling 2750rm in TGS before discount... wut do u think i can get after discount?

what u think about Sabian B8 then?
compare with Paiste 201 then?
which 1 betta?

b8 and 201...ok, this is just my personal view, there's not much different between both of them,
sound wise maybe they have they own characteristic, b4 this i'm thinking of buying the b8, maybe i just wanna try something else, coz sabian is to overrated. thats why i bought the paiste.
but i still like sabian cymbal...just experimenting different brand.

dude, dont go for export...go for vision..much much much more better
export already discontinue...so its hard, when lets say u wanna upgrade
the kit. seriously dude, sound of vision is superb for mid range kit.

i tried the vision just by tapping it with my fingers..and the tone came out is really good.
this is just by tapping it with finger. the price is only 3500++...for me is pretty decent for
a mid range level kit.

but if tgs offer u the export less than 2400, grab it.

is it the Vision in natural birch finish in Bentley? yeah man.. the drums look awesome. I wish i can play it but too bad Bentley doesnt allow people to try their drums. Bentley is actually waiting for their Pearl shipment and maybe Tama also come to our shore this end of April.. so that might explains why their drums section is not up to date. but for me, if you really want anything which not in the store, you can always order from them but of course you must put some deposit to it. Ive ordered alot of things from them which is not available in the store and they will call you as soon as your stuffs have arrived. So far, I think Bentley is the best shop to buy drums stuffs. ahha. option wise yes because the shop is bigger n carries more stuff. but service wise i have to go with js. and they even let you try most of the thing on display there which to me is a very2 good. and there is always a warm welcome from the staff there. if js provide pearl stuff, i think you might change your mind. lol~

i like TGS... i go there every friday and saturday for guitar and drums class, theyre really friendly and always give good discounts.... i was looking at the pearl forum last time at bentley... the guy said he could give me a discount from RM2400 to RM2100! and imperialstar from RM2300 to 2000! but then i bought my drums 2nd hand though... they sell pearl, tama, stagg, zildjian, sabian, paiste, most stuff laa...

but alot of stuff that arent sold at most places are sold at js, i guess... cos JS is the only place i've ever seen that carries DW, PDP, Gibraltar, Axis and gretsch etc...

but i guess bentley has more choice... but my favourite is TGS still...

but then now i think i would go for betta cymbals such as Paiste 201 n Sabian B8...
so i bring up my budget to 3.5k...

if im getting Vision... i'm gonna start starving til july... lolx..

anyone can tell wut so bad about Export?

there is no problem about Export.. its just that this series has been discontinued by Pearl and replaced by the new Vision which is made from 100% birch or maple wood.. Export only made out of Poplar shell and Phillipine Mahogany (earlier Export). what does he mean is for example you buy the basic 12", 13", 16" 22" configuration and if let say someday you want to try adding 10" tom to your set, you might have a problem to get the tom because Pearl already stop producing it. But i believe if you have the money, you can always check on eBay to search for one.

from my last visit to Bentley, there is one Pearl Export EX Black on Black 8", 10", 12", 13", 16" and 22" configuration lying on the store. you can always call them and ask for the price.

yup...that's what im talking about...if u wanna add more toms...its quite hard to find, maybe if u found it, its hard to find the same color or something, but anything else no prob. this is only my personal view. but like i said, if the price for export is reasonable for u, dont wait any longer...just grab that sexy beast.

just for ur info, if u wanna buy zildjian cymbal, dont buy the zbt or zxt...buy the zht series. much more better. this is what bently sales person recommend, he said the sound of steel for zbt & zxt is quite obvious.

the same basic thing, can even u gilbratar hardware
last time i check zht 1500+, for 1 set (1 crash,1 ride,pair of hat),
but still can get discount, b8 i think is around 1200 for a set.

i bought the paiste individualy..i dont know whether it came in
set or not. i think the paiste alpha series came in a set, but i dont
know the price and never test it before.

Zildjian titanium or the ZXT sounds awful. i'd prefer playing brass cymbal rather than playing on that super metallic sounding cymbal.

i dont know about Peace drums as i never get a chance to play them. As for PDP, i love the drum built, the finishes, and most importantly the sound. But their hardware, (hihat stand, kick pedal and cymbal stand) seriously need a better attention. Its hard to operate and its clearly using low quality material. Unlike Pearl hardware which is very smooth and easy to operate.

expensive ...muahahahah. Just giving u some option and suggestion dude. pearl hardware is really good. like kari..i am also a pearl junky, but still open for other option.

its not about expensive or showing off(maybe showing off a little laa tongue.gif ),but the
satisfaction of having and playing in a quality drum kit is beyond everything.
trust me when u already buy your kit and start exploring it, u will hunger for quality
rather than quantity.

but i like the way u think, starts from bottom going up...its easier to learn, u will be
more expose, if i didn't bought my first crappy kit, i think i will not gain any exposure
coz when we start with small stuff, we will automatically seeking bigger, advance and
quality stuff. just my 2 kupang.

good luck on your search and do update us on what u discover.

yup, pdp comes with crappy hardware. but the higher ends ones should come with better hardware, its the entry lvls that comes with the unbelievably thin stands n squeaking hihat stand. lol.

why dont you go with gretsch? i would encourage you to buy a good kit, and for starters, just get hold of any cheap cymbals that you can. and once you realize that it sounds crappy, then u can start thinking to change your cymbals.

thats exactly what i said!
i recommended him the gretsch catalina jazz kit! that drumset is AWESOME...

hmm this threads quite active...

The tama imperialstar is a good drumset too... its not as good as the export but its 750 bucks cheaper and it basically has alot of the same... poplar shells, precise bearing edges, pretty good hardware and wrapped shells..... except the snare is steel and not poplar and it doesnt have the SST shell heat molding thing or the ISS mounts of course... but it comes with mostly the same thingss....

plus with the extra 750 bucks you could get zildjian ZHT's or Sabian XS20's wink.gif or maybe meinl's

other than sabian, paiste and zildjian... check out meinl, the MCS cymbals look good... they have them at DoReMi music!
=D

Added on April 11, 2008, 5:04 pmoh yeah and i'll add that since the export is discontinued and is the worlds most best-selling drums of all time, and this is the last model they produced (for now) in twenty years it could be a collectors item!

beat spot can discount but not even reach 10%. try ls music (yamaha melawati, ampang, kajang, putrajaya). they can give better discount for cymbals.

ls music is yamaha shop (yamaha melawati, ampang, kajang, putrajaya) they are under LS Music. they are under different management from yamaha music or beat spot. and they do carry sabian cymbals. maybe some wuhan.

owhh.. so they're really not a Yamaha shop? Ive been to Ampang Point, Alamanda, KL Plaza (now close alrdy), Subang Jaya, and the latest one is Mid Valley. For me, the new Yamaha shop at MidValley has the best stuffs. Last time i went there they got some signature snares such as Elvin Jones but its really expensive!!!! The Ampang Point once got Yamaha Oak Custom which cost near 10K for a 5 piece set.. not sure snare is included.. Yamaha makes a decent drumsets but they are price is waaaayyy too high.

they are yamaha. but under different management. if you observe the things in their shop, u can tell the difference. for example, drums, some ls music have other brands like trapts, maxtone or peavey and for cymbals, they have headliner brass, some wuhan, and staggs too. but yamaha music only carries yamaha drums and sabian cymbals. midvalley is beatspot which is under yamaha music. the headquarters is in kelana jaya and its sure is nicer since its newer and the things there are still new. hehe. never been to beatspot curve tho. hows the drum section there?

ur looking for b8 pack? which one? 1230 is the regular pricing is it? if it is, dont expect it to go beyond 1100 for discount. that is about 10 percent which is usually they can give lowest for. unless u have dealt or know someone, u might get a lower price. and even so, i think lowest is 1050. if its your lucky day, might get to as low as 985. thats the furthest u can push the price. at least that is what i think.

why dont you try buying separately? if you really are in a very tight budget, heres my recommendation. 1st, for crash, tried stagg 14' dh exo before? it should not be more then 160 and i strongly recommend that. u cant get even crappy brass with that price and beats hell out of it. then for hats, u might want to get something like b8 pro which cost bout 580. then, i guess u have no choice but to settle with solar ride costing 190. thats a total of 930. if you go nag n bargain, im quite sure u can get it around 900. the extra budget, u can always get a splash, if its stagg, it can be as low as 100. so thats 1k. yeah u get a crappy ride, but for starters i personally think its fine. plus your hats n crash is not so crappy and still got another splash to play around with, with extra 200/300 for stands/clamps. personally, that is what i would do. others might differ tho.

human always wanted something fast and lose their patience, end up getting something that they feel regret...

i dun wan to get something which i will feel regret with...

dude,
actually that is kind of a good suggestion (cymbal w/o drum).
when i got my kit, i can't hardly played it because of neighbour
and i have baby(not mine my sister's) in the house.
the situation continues about 4 years...

then i just bought a snare, cymbal and pedal, just practice in studio...
coz those stuff is a personal think for me...and it is the most thing we played.
now im thinking of getting the practice kit...js music have it...its about 650++.

but still im going to get a new drum
(just waiting for the right bank to rob) heheheeh

agreed with namqul... i think we drummer dont have a lot of patient

real drum kit..loud as hell. no harm practice on real kit, just practice pad its mobile, can bring anyway..only consume small space to practice. practice pad usually practice for speed, rudiments, paradiddle..etc

dude, for hihats you should check out the zildjian ZHT's if you got the cash... especially the ZHT mastersounds, theyre said to be compareable to Avedis Mastersounds

and for the crash I think a Sabian B8Pro, XS20 or Zildjian ZHT medium-thin should do you justice... but if you can afford something more expensive by all means get a nice AA, or Avedis...

If you got a tight budget but want good cymbals, stagg is good, but a little bit too trashy for my taste, if you want a china staggs the way to go but if you want a nice bright clean crash, i dont think stagg is the right choice...

its personal preference, please specify on the sound you hope to get... maybe we could help you out abit more... smile.gif

hey guys,

thanks for the advice. yes i cant deny that i also need some classes to make sure im on the right track. will work on this soon after my band's gig next month at least.

oh ya my band "DarkMaze" will be performing in a gig at Skizo Shemelin on the 17th may. Do drop by if u guys can n give us some moral support. We can also get to know each other better.

The drummers paradise is too long to ever able for me to catch up,too many post already. Therefore i prefer to post here. Otherwise i wudnt know where to start, lol.

I'm thinking of getting the stagg crash as its still in my afforadability range. DH or SH if im looking for a sound in between "the crash and a splash" and wot diameter?
For my hihat which needs replacement. im thinking of getting a 13inch or slightly smaller but heavy type, coz i play it opened very frequently. wot do my bros think? n which to get if my budget is around rm200-400?

and oh ya, regarding this sticker like thingy adhered to the bass drum surface where the beater hits. On my set is currently having a single sticker, but im using double pedal. Is it necessary for me to get a double sticker? Will the beater damage the kicker skin if i dont?
Im very very new with hardwares as i just got my drumset just 2months ago.

Besides that ive been looking up n down for a free symbian s60 compatible metronome software. Something like those in w610 called "music mate" will be perfect. Does any hv em? Its really handy during jamming n practicing;)

I believe i can get great advices here. So lets share our knowledge.
Will be posting the pic of my set here real soon if im allowed;)

Keep the drumming spirit burning guys!

not bad, huh?

i've been drumming for 4 years..
n i still dun hv a drumset yet... sad.gif

for the cymbals question, u gotta ask other pro... cuz im facing the same problem as well...

if ur hats budget is 200-400, i think u can try paiste 201 which currently got promotion at Bentley...
mayb Sabian B8...

from wut they said, dun get brass cymbals... bronze cymbals will do...

anyway, welcome to the family... tongue.gif

Thanks a lot saru, im so touched to be accepted. Oh,yeh i just got my beloved drumkit after waiting for close to 10years. N finally i got it. Before this i was facing space problems coz i live in linked house. But now its in my bedroom,ho ho ho!
Probably saru, ure having the same prob i had b4? no probs which cant be solved! a drumset is most important for a drummer! A must hv! no replcement, not even practice pads.

how much is paiste 201 and sab b8 going for at bentley? i dont mind used but must be good condition otherwise itll look odd to match with my current kit.

lyn forummersr selling staggs for quite an ok price but i just cant accept buying instruments without knowing how they sound b4 i pay. agree?smile.gif

im getting my drumset soon once i got enuff money...

opps... i 4got the price for paiste 201... but u can always drop by bentley... sabian b8 u can go to any yamaha stores like beatspot to check..

i've tried stagg sh & dh hats n crash b4..
sounds good... at least for its price...
dun expect too much on it by comparing wif B8pro, ZHT n stuff...
haha... but pretty decent for home-used...

if u r goin for performance, of coz u need betta cymbals...

for hats, 400 is quite hard to get 1. unless ur talking bout used hats. i think b8 will cost about 450 per pair. well, if lurk around youtube or drum forums, most ppl will say that b8 is still bad. ppl throw away b8 cymbals like frisbees. dang i hate to see that clip. but if you really are on a tight budget and cant wait too long to save more money. then go for it.

hahaha those frisbee-cymbal-flying-video!!

most of drummers especially in US said Sabian B8 is bad simply because its like the lowest level of Bronze cymbals... Yeah, it used B8 bronze which have lesser tin bronze rather than B20 in higher end Sabian/Zildjian but the fact that the price of cymbals there are low and their buying power was great, they usually go for higher end cymbals... Its not like here where average earner's paycheck is almost the same as a pair of Zildjian A New Beats..

Unless if you're a professional gigging drummer or recording studio drummer, I dont see the point that you MUST buy expensive cymbals... Because most of the time you will play in your room where only you and (maybe) your neighbor and family hear you play. A set of Sabian B8 or Paiste 201 cymbals are fairly enough if you just want to practice in your room and maybe plays small2 gigs. And from my experience playing in numbers of gigs here in KL, usually in house kit doesnt have full miking system. So no matter if you are using B8, or K Custom Hybrid hats or whatever crap cymbals, the sound of your cymbals are barely noticed. So please dont feel down if you have B8, Paiste 101, ZBT or anything. I myself own 2years++ cheap Meinl Headliner Crash/Ride and I'm proud of it because its my very first cymbal!

but people may ask me, if that the case, why i want to buy expensive Zildjian cymbals for my kit? Well, I've played for nearly 9 years and I think I deserve good cymbals besides i am a drum geek and paying all my drums stuff with my own money. smile.gif

haha... yeah... the price is damn cheap over US there...

so i'm asking my friend to bring back a set B8 pack which just costs around 700rm here... plus... an 18' crash is free if u purchase... (wow!)...

i cant afford to buy expensive cymbals...
for practise, i think 201 or B8 is more than enuff edi... (at least betta than stagg sh or dh, rite?)

well, nickoholick: to ur search for a crash between a crash and a splash, i suggest you go for a thin crash either 16" or 14" because i have a 16" B8 crash (thin) and it has the higher pitch thats somewhat splashlike and it has the sorta lasting kinda feel of a crash... like a splash but crash-like.... umm i dont know how to explain...
if you wanna get a crash thats a crash/splashy cymbal, i think the B8 or 201... because the staggs are kinda thrashy and would be more suitable for a chinaish crash sound i think... i like staggs but there sound is unique and not as clean as other cymbals (IMO)

For the hats, B8's and XS20's are good... i have B8 hats and i think theyre pretty good... WAAAAAAAAAY better than brass cymbals anyway... but ive tried the stagg SH hats and theyre actually quite nice, and if you manage to get your hands on a pair, go for the DH hats, i think theyre better than B8's.

But XS20's are good if you want a more musical hihats.... the B8 is a more cutting sortof hihat cymbals and are quite hi pitched, which is good if you want hats that cut through the music (the B8pro are more cutting and are good for music that has a very noticeable hihat) the XS20 hats are actually pitchwise right in the middle of the AA and AAX series...

i got a lot of info on the sabian cymbals from reading up about them before and from looking at a book and watcho\ing videos of them tongue.gif

The XS20's are probably the best choice imo.... cos theyre made in the same process as the AA cymbals (sabian B20 bronze) and theyre alot cheaper than AA's or Avedis.... but thats if you want a cymbal that you wont want to replace after a while...

the B8's are really good if you play something that has a aggresive sortof cutting sound (rock, punk) imo but if you play music where you want the cymbals to kinda blend with the music (ie Jazz or Progressive Rock) then go for something with a more low pitch... of course cymbals that blend more can be good for a lot of rock music too though so i really think its up to your ears...

I only have my insight on stagg and sabian cymbals... tongue.gif but i do know that whatever it is, dont buy brass cymbals....
because even B8 bronze cymbals can be good too, i mean theyre not only used in beginner cymbals but B8 bronze is also used in Paiste's 2002 series (used by John Bohnam of Led Zeppelin) and Paiste Rude cymbals (Used by Joey Jordison) and the new Sabian APX cymbals use B8 bronze too!

But whatever it is, if your in a tight budget go for the one that fits, but if you hear a cymbal that sounds perfect for your taste, you might just wanna consider saving up the extra cash for it, so try them out first

oh well Dh hats are definately good if you can find them XD
i like 14"..... but its mainly a preference thing about sizes...

ive only tried the SH series and woulld say that their pretty good but if you can manage to get the DH series their even better... but imo the SH hats dont project as much as the B8's...

true2. unless ur going pro or thinking of going far with drumming. then go for high ends. if your only playing for small event such as weddings or dinner or something, its not like your audience can tell the difference what cymbals ur playing dude. haha.

was about to ask bout your wait for each cymbals dude. hehe. if only i have the same amount of patience as yours. thats why i always end up with some mid range stuff. haha.

but yet, the rebound is different already:(

got quoted fr burgercis for stagg sh hats 14,dh crash 14, peace boom stand. all together about rm600. wot do u guys think?

btw, those cymbals look like ones im having now. n theyre really flexible to b hand twisted. lol

Tama or Yamaha, you won't go wrong.

Pearl expensive??? LOL!!!

you really dont know much about Tama and Yamaha price. Between those 3 brand, Yamaha is the most expensive, Tama is second, and Pearl is the cheapest between those. Even the Bentley guy which now my friend said so! Go to Bentley and see for yourself!!!

another way of comparing those brands are for example comparing merc, bmw, and audi. not much to say dudes. it was not meant to compare between brands. yes, they do have certain functions on top of each others with different specialities. it comes down to us the buyer and end user's preferences to pick which one. choosing one and saying another sux is just not 'mature' enough.

and don8ld, here we go again. hope dave weckl is reading this so he can beat you up. lol~

i for one am not a huge fan of yamaha's entry level drums, but i think their stage customs are awesome. and their manu katche sets beat the crap out of the rhythm traveler (with a larger pricetag) but i like pearl drums, and tama. tongue.gif

i think if decide to use the stand for anything less then 12inch its going to be ok. but still, for long term use, its not a good call.

correct me if im wrong, but from what i remember, single braced, the three supporting legs, only 3 support. double braced, twice, 2 for each legs.

you can get a good stand for about rm160. so i really recommend u to add up a bit for this then buying cheepo stand. its easier if you decide to buy new clamp or mount your tom there.

Added on April 24, 2008, 3:03 pmowh, you can always check www.staggmusic.com for their full lineup tho. but only few are available here. like most of the stuff here. sigh~

if assume higher price = higher end
then black metal series is higher ended then the rest..
follow up by the Myra series, DH, SH, (CXG, CXA) starter brass..

Other series ( Furia, classic, vintage bronze, traditional, marching)
not sure tongue.gif

my current cymbal configuration is same as the drum pic with tshirts on it. i just wanna add another 2ndary crash.ill take note of the heavy duty carlos that uve mentioned. at the mo, the crash is not important but i urgently need to replace my hihat.

since now were aware of the double brace stand discussed previously, i think its important to get it. single ones r so yucky.ill confimred bout my peace stand with burgercis later.

i agree with u, practice makes perfect, but as a human being we will never be perfect,
so in the process of getting to the level of thomas lang or mike portnoy, custom drum is one of my dreams

for hardware parts like hoops, lugs, tendsion rod...i always can buy them.
its the shell im talking about, the building and construction of a drum shell.
where i can find someone that sell maple, poplar, mahagony..etc ply wood.
or maybe i can try build a snare, using a solid wood...but where can i find
an equipment to bent a solid wood.

i saw a dw solid maple snare cost about 4k, maybe if is there a carpenter that can build it,
i would like to try...i think it would cost much much more cheaper.

the knowledge and idea is there...but the material and technology i could not find (i mean here in malaysia)
b4 this i already tried asking from furniture builder...but they didn't reply anything yet

just my personal opinion, suggestion and dreams

u got a point as a dream n passion in drums. for me i gotta b so highly skilled until what ever drums in the market cant satisfy me anymore only i will seek to built my own custom drums.

the drums market in malaysia is bad. as u can see not many drummers n also drums equipment available. what more if ure looking for custom shells;)

no matter wat we shud b proud as a drummer as we re rare in malaysia^^

i totally respect ur opinion...one of my perspective of building a custom drum is just like u said..."when im truly skillful and the market does not offer me what i need"

for another perspective im seeking to build a custom drum, just like u said as well, Malaysian drum market are limited and expensive. so..maybe if i could build it (which i could only dream of) maybe i can duplicate pearl reference, dw collector series or tama drum for a much much much much more cheaper
cost.

yes, i am proud to be a malaysian drummer

i am interested on buying the hardware stand if youre willing to sell. no trades tho. my stands are still not enough. lol. u interested of selling or keeping it?

bout the hats, u might want to check js music. they still have vintage bronze stagg hats. if im not mistaken its going for rm300 per pair. it is a good buy if you like the sounding of it. go check it out.

well before i got injured when doing a rimshort but suddenly my finger is between the stick and snare. lol. but now not anymore. if i played normally, on my own, no injuries. but if i went crazy in a studio because others are playing as hard and loud, in order for me too keep up, i bash harder, lol. in this case, sometimes yes. due to sweats and the stick movement in my hands.

namqul: sry la i also looking for stands.hehe^^

kari: i also face finger blister if i play continuously for long period of time but so far i only had it on my right hand pointer finger, the part which touches the drumstick.

i heard of a way to reduce this. u might wanna try using ahead drumsticks. theyre hollow i think n made to dampen the shocks to your finger when u hit on the drums.

another way is to use cheap drumsticks. when u hit both sticks together which gives u low pitch sound meaning is a cheap wood drumstick. it gives less shock to your finger but it sound not as good n the cheap sticks wear off faster.

my 2cents n hope it helped

If you develop blisters, calluses, or joint injuries, it means you got bad technique. Or at least that's what Jojo Mayers says, in his Secret Weapons DVD where he shows you how not to do certain things.
Since I bought this DVD, I'll just assume he's right and believe him or else it'll mean that I've wasted money and time on quack advice.

And regarding the Ahead sticks, less shock doesn't lead to less blisters. You have to understand that blisters are caused by friction, not shock.

i know blisters due to bad technique but to change the way i hold sticks which for many years is almost impossible. the 'bad technique' for me is very subjective because i am comfortable doing shuffle, double stroke and bla bla...

I can't remember exactly which drummer, but this guy said he started all over to correct everything from his past playing. IIRC it's Flo Mounier.

I'm willing to bet that there are plenty of others who've gone down the same path, and this is not limited to drummers.

Anyway, this is all just to say: If there's a problem, just put some effort to overcome it. If gymnast chalk works, then you've succeeded.

they have a bunch of nice drumming dvds in kinokuniya near the music section...
they have the jojo mayer dvd there but i only saw it after ordering it... doh.gif

they got a lor there! they got neil peart solo lessons, thomas lang dvd, mike portnoy control dvds and a few others!
they got a whole rack but its mainly guitar dvds but there are a few good looking drum dvds from hudson music...

they look quite promising anyway...

(about the blisters) i have an idea, why not put the badminton racket type grip tape on the drumstick? it'll be harder to spin it and stuff but it should prevent blisters and increase grip... biggrin.gif

then again if youre using traditional grip then maybe not...

actually, it might not... its just an idea biggrin.gif
but if you can grip it right, wont it be harder to get the friction? so im not sure if itll work but i think it wouldnt hurt to try (unless you get MORE blisters...tongue.gif)

Added on April 27, 2008, 4:47 pmwell the price range varies... depends what the dvd is, how long it is and who its by.... how many discs too...

the jojo mayer is 100++ i think...

lol. of course with work, dont even have time for family yet. haha. im old, but not that old~

anyway, heres a question. let say you roll and between your 13" tom and 16" floor tom, your right hand landed on the 13" thus, next is your left hand on the 16". isnt it a bit hard to cross your hand and hit the 16", and harder at higher speed. how do you guyz go about this? to train and make it possible or practice so that your left hand will always land on the last hit at 13" tom so that itll always be your right for the 1st hit on 16". hope u guyz get this.

for slow speed ull stil able to manage to get your left to the floor although the distance.
for fast:

choice1:
start the roll with left hand 1st if previously u started with right n struggled.
eg:
left right left right left right(floor tom)

choice2:
start with right as usual but cover 2 hits. eg:
right right left right left right(floor tom)

i hope this help or if any1 hv better method do kindly share them;)

i have EC2 clear on my 12" tom. I think its pretty clear that clear head is for rock and metal because its more bright sounding and coated normally used in jazz because coated produce warmer sound.

for rock and metal..use clear, the sound is more 'cutting through' the loud rock music and its "overtone" sounds nice when u do a roll for rock/metal sound.

coated..the sound quite damp (in a good way). the overtone ringing is short, great for jazz...maybe for warmer sound u can tune down (the clear skin) a bit. but there is no harm using coated for rock.

from my random reading from PDF (Pearl Drummers Forum), Evans Hydraulic is not so favourable by them. Its kinda too boxy or dead sound.

Bottom head (resonant) WILL affect the tone and sound of a drum. Try to find Dave Weckle's old video on how he experimented various tuning on drums.

Hope that helps!

evans hydraulic have short sustain rite? is that what you mean by boxy? most of the time, im playing in my room. so, thats why im considering the sustain thing. i did watch that dave tutorial on youtube. but 2 times already i was dissapointed because it ends just when he want to hit the toms after its being tighten.

Aquarian Texture coated response 2!!! oh man! superskins biggrin.gif

but their expensive though...

other wise pinstripes are known for making beginner kits sounding good! and ambassadors and emporers are always good choices and of course EC2's and G2's....

ok guyz, i really need some suggestion here. thinking of getting heads of my toms 10, 12 n 14 changed. type of music that i played is generally a bit of everything. some metal, pop, but mostly rock. as u guyz know, im using cheap pdp ez series fusion kit. most of the time, ill be playing in my room. but i might have to bring my own kit for live performance few times.

any suggestions? thanx~

dude, my suggestion...used goat skin rclxm9.gif (just kinding). ok seriously, coz u will mostly played in medium size room. used coated. more damp. clear skin is very good for rock but if u only played in a room, the overtone/buzzing from clear skin will vibrate greatly if u r a hard hitting drummer. coated skin can help eliminated this buzzing sound a bit.

since ur kit is a fusion kit, so the size is a bit small...try to used double layer clear skin. good for rock.

just my suggestion.

this is just my opinion, coz fusion kit, small size ..already got fast attack...so when used coated the overtone will be shorter. so ,rather than used coated better used double layer (totally based on personal opinion, reference from dave weckle kit and for rock sound)

standard kit..mostly rock configuration 12,14,16...sound slightly big, clear skin is great for live performance. from my survey, never saw rock/metal drummer used coated for metal/rock sound yet.
i dont know about the new age rock, maybe those experimental rock/metal used it.

for remo...go for clear pinstripe or clear emporer...and diplomat as reso head. (configuration for rock, this is my personal choice)
on what i have been told, remo has 2 type of skin..one made in taiwan(duplicate), one made in USA.
taiwan cheaper.

evans..the hydraulic is the most warmer and focus of all the model...less sustain/overtone.
but if u like this kind of sound go ahead dude. i think this should sound like slayer drum.
very boom/warm sound. try to get thinner reso head, so the open and bright sound can balance.

genera g2 coated and clear reso head...this is my choice for rock/pop/funk.

have u tried EC2? Its a double layered head with internal metal ring underneath the head. It will eliminates excessive overtones and ringing which normally suffered by lower end drums. It will made a cheap drums sounds expensive with the right tune!

but it quite pricey.. almost rm50 a piece. but its worth it...

wao, tempting...
EC2 coated anyone tried? its frosted finish, not fully coated....
wonder how the sound different from clear...
but someone said Clear is best on EC2...
need some review on coated also... coz im playing in a small small room only... biggrin.gif

btw... anyone uses evans EQ patches? clear, black nylon or AF ? are they really help adding durability and sound focus for the bass drum head?
how much they cost?

i like the hydraulics. but afraid that im going to regret it later. maybe ill have to try different skins before buying. hopefully kits on display are using different one tho. but still, they are on different shells. guess i still have to ask the salesperson questions before buying.

yup, evans is really2 expensive. but really2 good

im now using evans hydraulic but i cant compare which is better coz this is my 1st kit. moreover im not sure my current tuning is the best or not, i believe it can be better. so far the sound is the best if to compare with kits in the studios ive patronised b4. btw,i wonder how much does the evan hyraulic cost?

ive noticed that the hyraulic skin makes the sound a bit lower tone than conventional single ply. pls correct me if im wrong;)

happy drumming!

EC series have single ply: EC1 and double ply: EC2. They have both coated (frosted) and clear head. They also have EC for snare head. So far i've only tried EC2 clear and never had chance to try out the new EC1 and i think its worth every penny.

you really cant tell how do they produce their drum sound because there are lots of factors that need to be taking in account.
First, its straight from album and it has been mixed and remastered to meet certain level. Second, the acoustic of their studio is also affects the sound that they captured. Third, for fast double pedal like that, it might be using drum triggers to get exactly the same sound each time.

yup...agreed, once i recorded drum track in studio with professional engineer, im using "cap ayam" drum and cymbal.
but once record using mic, the sound totally different on what we heard while playing. sound like expensive drum...hahahahah. i think they used pro tool to mix it.

haha,
your hihat pedal need to re-adjust slightly clockwise from current location. this will allow more space between hihat pedal n hihat stand leg. then slot the slave pedal from the back to fit the space allocated.

Yeap, that's about right.

If explained in words, it's simply: you'll need to be able to step on both with one foot, so they need to be side by side.

this is how i placed mine. and as u can see, its a troublesome thing to do. best bet is to go with 2leg hihat stand or a remote one. but i cant afford those for now. so, im just trying to live with it. lol

there have been alot of new hihat stands to make it easier to position the slave pedal but i think this is both the most effective and interesting.

Seen that one at JS. It's unresponsive and has a lot of play.
There's the possibility of poor setup, or no setup at all - straight from the box...
Let's just say I wouldn't be looking at it if I wanted something along that line. I would say that the other Gibraltar HH stands - no-leg or rotatable leg - are better choices.

i second that. no leg at all?? it surely will wobble alot when playing. unless u dont use hihat pedal at all. for me, sturdyness is important and if i ever play double pedal, i will invest some money to buy 2-legged hihats.

no leg Hi hat, i think usually they used that for double bass setup, there will be another clamp attach to cymbal stand or rack.

hey..wa..so many responces:) thanks guys........

ive check on the net, n a couple of music shops at my area pandan indah.
they all do not sell it, n worst still they dont seem to know what im talking about.
Kept mistaken it as those electronic rubber drum pad/trigger,
coz when i asked the price if they were to order it costs rm2k n etc.

i think i shud check out js at imbi coz so far they hv the biggest drum section in a music store.
it just seems like in msia, drums r not popular eh?

HQ is a good brand, others r like remo, n etc i cant rmb the names. But for this kind of practice
pad, we look for the feel to be the closes to a real drumset's rebound isnt it?

sigh, sometimes it just feels like practicing after work n at night is not possible for me coz
of neighbors.
ill check out js imbi a.s.a.p:)

Have u been to Wohfatt near Kotaraya? U will amazed when u go there. They have almost every spare parts of drums including bracket for toms, floor toms, screws, tension rods, spring, inserts, bla bla...

owh, they also carry a whole range of LA Special sticks. So many sizes and tips can be choose. And its only RM18 per pair. My last visit they discount the sticks to RM11 per pair. Can u imagine? RM11 for a pair of sticks?

i have Vic Firth dual surface 12" drumpad. The soft is more rubbery and will gives more bounce and quieter feel, the hard surface imitate the real snare feel but its quite loud.

some information here: http://waimun77.multiply.com/reviews/item/2

btw does anyone know where to get this pdp ez series? and price range?:

ahha, p2dmax beats me to this. im guessing you pmed everyone that posted in this thread before? lol~ now since you ask me to. here's my answer.

if you ask a person like kari_convention, he'll ask you to go with Pearl Vision VX and ends the recommendation with Pearl is the only reason to drums. hehe. or if you ask saru88, he might ask you to be patience and top up a bit for pdp x7, since he's using one.

what i recommend you to do is to go to both bentley and js, test and ask the sales person on both product. let us know on what you decide later, and why. haha.

and then you can move on to the next stage and ask on how to soundproof your room since the neighbours are complaining and you dont get to drums as much. lol

wah... haha.. how do u noe i will suggest pdp x7? lol...
but x7 really not bad... but i think it still depends on his budget...

but dude, if u r jz playing drums for fun, really need not to get a very expensive set 1...
a practice set like Pearl Export is already very enuff...

jz avoid getting those ciplak china brands can edi...

Hello... I wanted to ask about the sabian b8 performance pack ( got a free 18" crash cymbal) price... The shop nearby offer me rm1300.

If i buy the imperial star set + the sabian b8... He would give me 3250
the set itself is RM2400 and a rm1300 for sabian b8.

Hi! I'm a beginner here. Planning to get a set of drumset to improve my skill.
Any idea on what kinda drumset should i get?
Pearl, Tama, Yamaha?
what model and price?
tama imperialstar izit okay?
i prefer pearl, but then any nice model for beginner?

About cymbals, what brand is okay for a beginner?
stagg, sabian, zildjian, paiste?
and also what type n size of cymbals?
china, crash, splash, ride?
how abt the price?

a beginner set consists of wut 1?
5-piece drumset with crash n ride cymbals?
or maybe more cymbals?

oh yeah, where can i get drumset with a reasonable price?
cuz i saw the price selling in bently quite pricey...

i hope you guys can help on this..thx!

p.s. I prefer black color drumset.. lolx...
*
the quality of your drumset doesn't not increase your skills if it increases.
only thing is practice.
i know people with cheap as a monkeys ass type drumset,
and they play for any band cz they're that good.
get a cheap as a monkey's ass drumset and play with that.
my philosophy is if you can make a shitty drumkit sound good when you play,
then a good one would sound epic.

Or any other marching tenor mallets.
Online ordering shipping around Malaysia also.
The total cost maybe under rm100.
