the phone is still new. so i think nobody will know how good or bad is the skin material of the body.
but i heard that samsung use a better quality material this time to avoid the colour fading.
To confirm this, we have to wait a year to see whether it's true or not.

hope that helps! smile.gif

oh i'll tell ya
dunno it's only mine or what
when i take pics in low light condition, the pics turn out to be even much much darker! in good lighting condition, the colour seems like washed out
sad.gif i've stopped using it for days because of this!!
ringtone can b a lil soft, but u can amp it up with some software. it'll be fine then
yep, it's VERY hard to open single-handedly

hmmm when i use it picture where really good, even in low light, colors of flower is really vivid too

hi i have a question about the firmware upgrade via the UK website

can someone confirm that the local language (whether chinese, malay, thai, etc) in the phone menus as well as in sms (typing, reading) is still there? also, what about the operator specific gprs/edge settings? what actually happens after the firmware upgrade? does it become a UK generic g400? or does it still remain operator branded or something?

also, i am also curious whether the sms reading on the outside supports local languages? lastly, is it able to view the call log on the outside yet?

thanks a lot guys! i'm really close to getting this phone now! any comments will be appreciated! what color do you guys think is cooler? black or silver?

1. The chinese language is still there. I think all available languages too. Not sure about the setting but the phone work fine without the need to tweak the setting again after the update.

2. SMS reading of other languages on the external screen can be done. But for the call log (miss call), you still have to flip the phone out to check. I have future update will allow user to view the miss call via the external screen.

3. I don't know. But i choose black. Black is all black while silver is shinier i think.

max memory card able to support is 8GB.
if you buy from samsung authorized dealers, then bundle together is 4GB memory card.
i think you can get a cheaper rate buying from normal handphone shops selling various models (not just samsung phones).

you must find the available software application...till now haven't found any FREE one yet.
but samsung phone is harder to find compatible software and themes compare to nokia or SE phone.
