Near my friends' house signal out already..don't know why sweat.gif .
Bro the bypass sim you are selling is chinese hypersim right ? now too many bypass sim on the market I also blur.
Last month when I do testing with 3 bypass -sim , the only bypass sim that score 100% with Digi & Maxis is Bennys' hypersim .
The other 2 ,x-sim &  Chinese 3gp I tested still not that good,it took longer time to reconnect to signal tower.
hmm..I think for now  chinese hypersim & Bennys hypersim still the more stable one to use in M'sia.
Anyone using other bypass sim with your Docomo phone ?

Added on April 2, 2008, 12:45 am

Bro maybe you can check with your supplier and ask them for modified version .
If you are dealling with PRC must be more careful coz some of them I know give older version of their hypersim to oversea customer. mad.gif
904sh owners : anyone modified your phone to type chinese as stated in mobile01 & blueshow forum ? icon_question.gif

can other j-phone like  so905ics and etc type chinese word after unlock with hypersim?

Nope you can't fully type chinese words unless using saved words / dictionary method but that will be limited to Japanese Kanji.

Oops sorry as I didn't remember quite well tongue.gif

So how much is Benny's Hypersim cost now? Cant seem to find the info from Kurokun's thread...

And between P905i and SO905iCS, after unlock with bypass sim I guess SO905iCS still have more restrictions compare to P905i?
*
I think Benny's hypersim will cost around RM280 - RM300 according to one of my customer who bought P905i.

Hmm... I think the restriction will be the same (no WAP or data packet related service functions usable). Other than that, most of them are usable.

How about sms character restrictions? Both P905i and SO905iCS have this restrictions?

And I'm not sure if we can put songs or videos into SO905iCS. So far only know P905i possible to do so. And SO905iCS cannot use personalised tone?

How about photos taken by SO905iCS, what is the format? .vnt?
*
Max 160 characters for both.

Can listen WMA/AAC on SO905iCS. Tried before. Picture format in JPEG.

Thanks. So for SO905iCS WMA/AAC files can be drag and drop? Unlike P905i which need to rename accordingly?
*
Yes can drag and drop (I only tested for WMA, AAC doesn't). But first you need to create folders for it first. After that, you can drag and drop the WMA musics on the x:\PRIVATE\DOCOMO\MMFILE\MUSIC folder. Then you can switch to memory card in phone and start listening to the songs.

You can also sync the songs with WMP10 or above.

I see.
So this is only do-able if I have usb cable right? Possible to transfer songs into memory card without any renaming?
*
I think if you create the folder structure, it should work also without having USB data cable. Lazy to take out to test now.

bro , Benny said hes' latest Q-sim can work with P905i maybe you can consider bringing in for our brethtrens here.  smile.gif
The round type Maxis I test last time doesn't work with Bennys' 1st and 2nd batch hypersim .
But maybe it works with the latest batch hypersim he sale coz he got modified it. hehe.
*
I'm bringing in the q-sim not hypercard 256 but still need to test it first although the sim compatibility has increased. Not sure the chip size of the q-sim though but the hypercard 256 one will be thicker.

QUOTE(Vervain @ Apr 7 2008, 12:12 PM)
btw, does the size of the micro chip by dimension is bigger than normal ones? refering to Q-sim

damn, i just noticed my maxis is the rounded type w/ gemplus on it... if benny's q-sim doesn't work with it, can i get it changed to the square edge one? does maxis have that kind of exchange?
*
Well I haven't do any testing yet but most probably will work. Don't get too worry yet and will inform the result once have been tested. If you change the SIM, I think you need to pay some charges for that.

May i ask this question again?

What do you all think about the difference or pro & con in between DoCoMo and SoftBank??

Which model is better in term of:
-functionality.
-stability.
*
Hmm... Softbank one at least don't need to do CPR or worry about reception dropped when changing signal towers unlike DoCoMo. Besides, 3G is working on Softbank models and also might not worried about long SMS receiving problem.

Functionality wise, DoCoMo one you could at least use Camera, Media player for most of the models and most of the newer Softbank models, you can't use Camera, Media Player without doing a re-provisioning to the phone.

QUOTE(awong @ Apr 16 2008, 10:30 AM)
what is on his q sim?
*
Hmm can't really get what you mean. If you mean what contains inside the q-sim itself, I can't answer that as Benny's the one who program the bypass. This q-sim is the latest version from benny which is quite stable for docomo phones.

QUOTE(MorningBoyz @ Apr 16 2008, 10:52 AM)
after so long i still banging my head to wall to decide which model to take doh.gif
actually i have a noob question here what is CPR stand for??
any SoftBank model users here can clarify me is it SoftBank model might not have problem recieving long sms??
I guess signal problem now can use benny's sim to solve the problem right?? is it? coz wat i see here there is some still having problem?

How is re-provisioning the phone??

sorry for all the noob question sweat.gif
*
Hmm, CPR in this context is in order to revive reception in DoCoMo phones, you need to put back your SIM along with bypass into any other phones (like Nokia, SE...) to get back reception first. After that, re-put back your SIM along with the bypass SIM into DoCoMo phone.

For DoCoMo, mostly the signal problem was solved but still there is still some blind spot.

You can't re-provision (update) your phone if you're not using DoCoMo network in DoCoMo phones and Softbank network in Softbank phones.

Not sure if this is the right place to post but i couldn't find any other topic..

So, i'm in japan now and just bought a p905i. Is there anyway to put in my own ringtones without having to download them through i-mode? Registration for some sites are pretty expensive.
*
Hmm this phone only able to assign downloaded ringtones unless it is a midi.
