No not celcom, maxis...
I'm still using maxis.
After change sim card no more auto shutdown.
My phone already more than 24hrs now, switch ON from yesterday.

After you make call. Did you wait until call timer came out or your line connected
and then press the call button..?

by the way, SEP910, assuming i want to change my maxis postpaid SIM card, can i just walk-in to maxis centre and show them the SIM pattern (that you guys are using) and ask them to change exactly the same one for me? is there any charges?

Now they modern already, 10 years ago they will ask you to return old sim,

Why my sim is being cut? Yes they question about that. I just told that I go to japan and cut that to fit into japan phone...hehehee

actually i had already made up my mind to go for 920P but the thing is i cant find much information about 920P plus i m a 1st timer with J-Phone. so if anything happen then i m so dead le.

the 3g service will still be limited. You know how slow digi is in working out their coverage as they are compensating more on call rates. If they were to expedite the whole progress, surely their 3g service doesn't come cheap

today i go to maxis center to change my sim card

i show them the picture of the following (borrow from SEP910 this time)



mine card is number (6), the maxis center only have card number (4), with the above sim chip pattern

no luck, so didnt get to change

but the operator is kind enough, she gives me her email address, and ask me to send her the above photo,
she will forward to all the maxis branches, and see which branches have number (6) card

well, i am composing the email now...hopefully got news from them.

if your card is number (6), you can only change to card number (6).

you can't simply switch, as the number (6) represented your phone number (some sort)

i can get the number (4) card, just that i need to apply a new line

i tell her, my docomo phone mesti use that particular sim pattern
the maxis staff is pretty friendly

Today just replaced My Maxis Postpaid 3G USIM at Taipan USJ10 which told by xshane the Maxis Centre do have the chip type available that can be use in P905i which in conclusion compatible for all DoCoMo Models.

Besides, someone also found the L type shape SIM chip at Sunway Maxis Centre. So who ever want to get the L type or the other one, can go to those Maxis centre and have a try.

One more thing, the staff in Maxis centre told that the (number) thing is a grouping number for which belongs to which exchange server.

yea, thats the exact same sim card design i'm using now...almost identical to the L shaped sim except this one the "kaki" kena cut off so i suppose this is the I shaped sim

anyway, 2 week report of using my p905i with the I shaped sim combo with benny's q-sim. so far only had to cpr twice, one was in my room at night suddenly no signal & then once more was on the way to setiawangsa through ldp/nkve (and coming back also one more time need to cpr so i assume got dead zone somewhere on the way there)

OMG seriously this thread slowed down a lot.

BTW te "L" shape pattern sim card, is it very hard to get? coz now most sim card i cant see "L" shape have to find le.
