QUOTE(Neo8663 @ Feb 28 2009, 02:19 PM) whats the advantage of getting SLi instant of put the same amount of money to get a nice GC?? Instead of using one card to take all the load, now u hav 2 or more cards handling it so that more processing can be done.... Depending on ur setup one.... If u hav a monitor that runs 1920x1200 or higher, definitely u need to get SLI and also powerful graphics cards.... Maybe u can google up regarding SLI on how it works and the advantages of it.... Then u will understand....

QUOTE(Daltonsama @ Feb 28 2009, 01:40 PM) Btw, if you ask me, I'd say go for it! OMG, that speed-demon is just so hard to resist. It's called a speed-demon cuz the GPU clock is 666mhz lol.. i thought the number of the devil is 616? btw im a new owner of a gtx285! yay, finally after nearly 3 weeks of waiting my card finally reached! btw what's the normal temperature for this card? both idle and on load, my idle temp is around 40-50C and load is 70-80C, when load the card is really burning (i just burnt my finger touching the rear exhaust vents ) and with gpuz i noticed there are two sets of readings for both the gpu core and pcb board (2 sets of readings for gpu core; 2 sets of readings for pcb board). why is this so? and both sets of readings have different values, each sets differ from each other at around 10C. can anyone enlighten me? thanks!

I think it's different sensor monitoring the GPU temp. Mine also the same. one of my core shows exactly the same u mentioned, and the other one just one value Added on February 28, 2009, 6:00 pmah wait, I've found the answer. Straight from the maker of GPUZ's mouth (Wizzard) http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=189013or if ur lazy to find his post http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpo...06&postcount=23This post has been edited by metsatsu: Feb 28 2009, 06:00 PM
