hmm. anyone can comment about the nvidia hybridpower thingy? does this feature really shows any significant difference compared to those models which doesnt has this hybridpower technology? cuz me planning to buy gtx285, but when compared to gtx280 or gtx260, gtx285 doesnt feature this hybridpower technology. thanks!

any1 can help me out here?
my graphic card ASUS EN8500GT punya fan got problem?
the fan turning dam slow...and the tempreture if f*cking high!!! mad.gif
normal window mode oso 72C
if play DotA the tempreture 80C+.... ohmy.gif
*

my friend is using the same card as yours too, asus en8500gt. he's been using the old 158.xx drivers for all his time when i finally suggested him to use new updated drivers. turned out that whenever a newer driver was installed, the gpu fan would stop spinning once he logged on into windows. (i think i posted this query very very very long time ago regarding this problem right here on this exact thread).

in the end he doesnt wanna believe its driver problem so he sent for rma. now his gpu is back from rma and i still suggest him for latest drivers but he wouldnt want to update anymore. so he's still using old 158.xx drivers and happy that his gpu fan is still spinning.

btw, regarding gtx285, does it run hot? i had one ordered, but havent recieve it yet. if temp could be a prob does the gtx285 support any other 3rd party cooling and which?

thanks!

now u understand what involved in overcloking.

summore different memory chips used on the card altho gpu chip is same would give different oc result too one right? im referring to the guy who ask bout same gpu chip but different card oc thingy.

btw, regarding bottleneck, are you guys refering to bandwidth or speed or? rclxub.gif cuz lets say for my case, im currently using a 8600gt, and its bandwidth is 22.4GBps, currently with my proc oc to 433FSB 1:1 ratio to ram, both my mobo and rams would be running in bandwidth of 13.864GBps (which is still less thanthe bandwidth of the gpu). if i decided to run in 5:6 or 4:5 ratio for my rams, my rams bandwidth would increase but my mobo bandwidth would still stay the same.

so the point here is to oc over 3.2ghz for proc as mentioned by metsatsu or to oc past some fsb? say, like over 400fsb or 450fsb?

let's say im running 400fsb (bandwidth 12.8GBps), for 1:1 ratio, my ddr2 would be running at 800mhz (bandwidth 12.8GBps too); for 5:6 ratio, the ddr2 would be 960mhz (15.36GBps); 4:5 ratio, ddr2 1000mhz (16GBps).

but for all these ratio, my mobo would always be running at only 12.8GBps. so i would just like to ask, would changing the ratio so that my ram runs at faster n higher bandwidth would solve gpu bottleneck problem?

(plus, for proc clock 400x6 or 400x7 or 400x8; as long as the fsb is 400 no matter what the multiplier is they'll have the same bandwidth.)

and today is the 10th day im waiting for my order of gtx285, i bought it from forumer tkh_1001, but it seems like the distributor is having problem with the "kastam diraja". the distro guy keeps asking me to give him a few more days a few more days a few more days but seems like the days keep going but he's without news. should i consider a refund?

Btw, if you ask me, I'd say go for it! OMG, that speed-demon is just so hard to resist. It's called a speed-demon cuz  the GPU clock is 666mhz lol..  drool.gif

i thought the number of the devil is 616? tongue.gif

btw im a new owner of a gtx285! yay, finally after nearly 3 weeks of waiting my card finally reached!

btw what's the normal temperature for this card? both idle and on load, my idle temp is around 40-50C and load is 70-80C, when load the card is really burning (i just burnt my finger touching the rear exhaust vents sad.gif )

and with gpuz i noticed there are two sets of readings for both the gpu core and pcb board (2 sets of readings for gpu core; 2 sets of readings for pcb board). why is this so? and both sets of readings have different values, each sets differ from each other at around 10C. can anyone enlighten me?

thanks!

hmm. so for the load temp hitting 80C or more, is that the normal or safe temp for this gpu? everytime i game, even my casing goes very hot! sweat.gif

just gaming only. still not dare to full stress it as im still not sure with the tjmax temp of the gpu yet. sweat.gif
so far now busy trying out games at full settings! everything seems so fast and smooth now that im still abit not used to it.

55nm chips of the 285 have better ocbility according to some review sites. but because of its 55nm (which is suposed to be cooler and consume less power as assumed by nvidia but infact it doesnt cuz its running on higher clock than stock 280) nvidia tried to cut cost on its cooling features such as removing the panel on the back of the pcb and reduced some heatsink?

or was that another card?
