Hi,

I am doing my house renovation currently. May anyone recommend what brand of stove is good and price is reasonable? what things do we need to consider when buying the stove?

Thanks.

Here is what I've posted in another thread... you should do search next time before opening duplicate threads, your question might have already been answered... nod.gif

Besides brands there are the different types of hobs...

Electric or Gas.
- Depends on your preference... my friend cooks with gas but has an electric stove for backup.
- Gas is cheaper to run I'm told (but I don't have the numbers to prove it)

The number of burners you need (2, 3 or maybe 6)

The cooking stand is important flat for pots and pans or slightly raised for asian woks.
- Check that your pans are stable.

Types of hobs
- Stand alone (cheap)
- built-in (expensive or cheap depending on brand)
- or those that come with ovens.

For built in hobs you must check what materials are used to construct its top:-
- stainless steel

- tempered glass

- or those plastic covered aluminium types hmm.gif dunno what to call it...

No pics sorry... tongue.gif

edit: PS: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/429821 thread I was referring to earlier.... cheers icon_rolleyes.gif
