No point you have 7.2Mbps rate if Maxis cap at 3 or 5 GB/month...

that's my point...if Cel-Max-Dig-U-P1-or-what-so-ever have the FUP, it's no point they upgrade their HSDPA to support 7.2Mbps when nobody would subscribe due to the silly contract and FUP....

Furthermore, UM cannot use in conjunction with VPN access.

It can connect to VPN but no data is running. That is what happening on my side at least.

be very careful when they give you a list of numbers to choose. They might sign-up for U38 + Data altogether...

I was about to be tricked like that until I fill up a form and I write myself in CAPS: "DATA SIM ONLY RM68/month"

Never ever register at any Agents at shopping mall, side-streets, etc. This is because, they will send the "dispatch boy" once every month to the ISP centre to register at-one-go and to cut traveling/logistics costs.

Those Agents are useless. Always register at the ISP's centres.

Yup. That is correct for all business minded people. They will accumulate all applications. By end of the week send to each telcos for one-time logistic cost saving. I have long time "ignored" dealers. They give you more trouble than convenience.

Dear azie26,

Is the contractless RM199 free E220 modem valid throughout Malaysia? Can we apply at any UM branch?

P/S : So brave for you to represent UM in this forum. You'll either be loved or slaughtered.
