No problem. For my own sanity, here's what I know so far, based off various sources from tha interwebs:

Is GTAIV region locked?:
Only for the Xbox360. PS3 games remain region-free.

Is GTAIV for the PS3 Censored?
Only for discs in the Australia/New Zealand Region, which IINM is Reg 4. What exactly has been removed has not been disclosed by R* in detail.
Singapore discs apparently fall under Reg.2, according to LYN posters here.

For visual clues as to how to determine which Region your game is, you can refer to Vorchiel's handy guide here/Post #2000.

Is Multiplayer region restricted?:
No one seems to know for sure; none/not enough of us have copies yet to be able to determine this.

PS3 games are typically region-free, so why all the R1/R2/RX questions?:
In the end, this will factor into DLC purchases. Think about it.

Other miscellaneous questions you might have may have already been answered here.

Ive read that only AU version is censored and not NZ version. Couldnt find the sauce though

NZ gets the same version as Australia.

Hey Vorchiel, since you've got a copy of GTA IV already, how about checking whether multiplayer is region locked for us?

Both kelvinlym and earthdome have R2/EU version as well so we cant really test against R1 R3 versions etc

OK. I got the game today cause waiting till tomorrow just makes me feel like dying.

Never have I seen so many copies stacked up in the games shop backroom. My guesstimate is 300+ copies each system. 15 copies per small brown box times roughly 50 boxes. And I reached there at like 4pm.

Anyway, enjoying the game now. I got the EU english version (UK version, german version not out yet but the disc has all the EU ratings logo on it).

Wanted to get the SE but decided against it. I don't need more crap lying around the house.

Impressions so far were great. Multiplayer is currently down though. Really funny game. Loved the humour.

ps3 version of GTA is already sold out in my area..left xbox version only.. ps3 consoles are also sold out..

yea..server is down..cant try MP..n sumhow i couldnt connect to PSN for about 3 hours also..

on the box, it states that 1080p is supported..but when i play the game.. the resolution is only 720p.. so does it really support 1080p?

It is reported that the game only has 640p.

according to vorchiel, R2 = Europe = not censored.

Well I can't cancel the P-A preorder so will wait for my R1 to arrive next week (I doubt our boleh customs works on Saturday anyway even if P-A manages to ship it out on Friday). Have fun in Liberty City

PA is charging an insane amount for the SE edition -- 130 USD

Don't know if that includes shipping, but thats already a quick 40 USD profit for them.

this is the price this dealer gave (from where he got the price I dunno) ... and the stock never arrive yesterday


actually none of the Suppliers can confirm the price because the stock not arriving yet ... today evening will know what game region they receive, what version and how many quantity ... then the price will make known to every dealer

Oh yeah, forgot to post last night... Apparently, a particular shop had GTA IV for PS3 in stock yesterday... I was only informed last night, so I had no time to go and get it... If I had known earlier, I would have gone and bought it yesterday... And my source is true as he/she/it bought his/hers/its copy of the game from that particular shop yesterday...
