hey, greetings to all perdana v6 users!!! I just want to share some some tips / info based on real life experience. I believe most of us also gone thru a hard moment about the gearbox jerking before right? I personally went to get myself a recond gearbox done at a so called gearbox specialist workshop amounting to rm1800 including workmanship, basically all in. Guess what? it still jerks although a major improvement can be felt. eventually, I went to my trusted workshop sifu to ask for help cause really clueless d, almost lost hope. He took out his MUT tuning machine and performed tuning on my TPS sensor. After finished tuning, while driving back feel even more improvement but still some slight jerk. Eventually, that night I thought what the heck I thought just take a cheap shot and unplugged the battery and leave overnight, tomorrow morning start the engine can say almost no jerk felt anymore...amazing!!! this has led me into both happy and sad state cause I managed to cured the jerk feeling but at the same time I might've unnecessary spent the money changing the gearbox also. Anyway, that's what happened to me. So the next time your car shifting gear jerk feeling acts up again, before driving straight into the gearbox workshop and change the gearbox, do your self a favour and go perform TPS tuning first. Might save you a big sum in the end...cheers

you can try this foreman at Desa Tun Razak. His name is Ah Yoong, H/P No:019-322 9960. His whole team are all seasonal guys from tuning to modify and transplant engines. He himself is exceptionally good at fine tuning engine ecu. I did my v6 engine at his shop. before I sent for him to do tuning, my car was less powerful and always jerk during gear shift. now smooth d the gear change.

Hey guys and proud v6 owners, Just want to share some useful info I found on the internet to take good care of our beloved baby.
Apparently even experts promote the usage of Lubegard products. Also another link which I think can be useful info for us all : http://www.allpar.com/fix/trans.htmlhttp://www.atdsm.com/pdf/atoh3.pdf

Unplugging and leaving the battery terminal connector for half an hour to clear the ecu and TCU sometimes can do wonders

All v6 shares the same gearbox, no difference between which year. More importantly, where are you situated? Than easier for us to recommend which gearbox Specialist to look for..

depends on who and where are you buying from? some if not most second car dealer will temper with the odometer reading. but if you do buy one from those lease to spanco should be quite well maintained.

Guys, need help here. Recently my car is experiencing pulling to the left side when i release my hands from the steering. I think maybe it is connected to the incident when my front left wheel went over a pothole quite hard when cornering to the right side. Among other symptom that I felt are as per follows:
1) Car constantly pulls to left side when driving, either crusing, accelerating or braking. symptom becomes even worse when going uneven roads. 2) during braking can feel slightly freeplay in the left front wheel, like wobbling front and back 3) left rim feels slightly hotter than right side 4) when crossing road humps feel like front left wheel will bounce one or two times more than front right side.
Actions taken so far: 1) swap tires left&right - no difference but swap tires front and back got improvement 2) already went to check with three workshop on the brakes, three foremans says ok after checking but last I still insist the final foreman to service the brake piston just to be sure. foreman after service says brakes are ok,No difference compared to before service but funny the left side wheel still more hotter than right side wheel. 3) Both front lower arm changed with new sets brand 555 4) absorber also replaced new set 5) alignment done twice already at separate workshop
so what could be the reason for this? hopefully, some sifus here can offer some form of help and guidance. Thanks a lot in advance.

QUOTE(NeuroOne @ Mar 7 2017, 04:52 PM) if u have changed the lower lateral arm (straight arm), then u should check the lower control arm (the curved arm) check the bushings and ball joint maybe the bushings koyak or snapped out of the socket (the bushing may not be koyak but became loose) Thanks for the advice bro....but I already went to this bushing specialist shop, I believe he is quite famous foreman doing bushing. His name is Mat Lan. He checked all the bushing is in good condition. He mentioned only the staright lower arm got problem

QUOTE(NeuroOne @ Mar 16 2017, 10:41 AM) from Lan Engineering? yes his name quite famous in bushing stuff i was thinking of contacting him to change all my rear bushings (the factory bushings are 15 years old already) i thought u already changed the lateral arm to a new arm 555 brand? so what's actually the problem? the arm bracket/mounting point? Yeah, Lan Engineering. I did changed to 555 lower arm due to bushing koyak d, managed to solved the krok krok sound but the alignment thingy problem still persist....

QUOTE(NeuroOne @ Mar 22 2017, 11:05 AM) so do u found out whats the prob with the alignment thingy? maybe ur crossmember (layman's term = tulang gajah) got something to do with the prob? my crossmember's bushings already out but since it requires a lot of work and time, i delay to change it. hehe Unfortunately I still havent found out the root cause of it....I am beginning to think it is my driveshaft that is causing it....

hey guys, just want to share something here about my recent upgrade. I just replaced my original 12mm rear ARB to UR 19mm ARB. The followings are the difference felt after upgraded:
1) Instantaneous improvement during cornering capability. the rear was a major improvement from standard. It was more planted on the ground and the body roll is significantly reduced. Obviously an increase in g force cornering.
2) The ride quality and comfort has became slightly compromised, more harsh to be exact due to the fact both the independent suspension system has been tighten up and linked together more stronger. Therefore, when going thru uneven roads, I can feel the each suspension system unable to travel as much as previous independently. In other words, it feels like both the rear suspension system becomes one unit, they travel up and down together. At least that's how i feel and interpreted it. In essence, it feels like I'm using an adjustable suspension at the rear. Firm cornering at the expense of slightly harsher ride quality BUT without the lowered car problems.
