QUOTE(NeuroOne @ Oct 28 2013, 12:05 AM) what do u mean type of Perdana? I mean V6 NA. My budget is not much max is 15k, not sure which type is the best with my current budget, i was targeting V6 NA manual because perdana evo3 is expensive. How much total cost of converting to evo3? Maybe i could opt for the cheapest perdana and transplant it.do u mean SEi vs V6? or u mean NA vs turbo? or u mean stock size vs Executive? what type of engine u want? NA or turbo? or u want the latest one? what's ur budget? usually to convert from V6 NA auto to manual is around RM4k-5k depending on the model of gbox, pedal, lever, etc. it would be better if u get a 2nd hand Perdana already with manual gbox. |

QUOTE(NeuroOne @ Oct 28 2013, 12:29 PM) with RM15K, i dont think its enough even to get V6 NA manual, what more a turbo Perdana. Thanks for explaining. Now I understand more bout Perdana. What about FC for RVR NA and also turbo? Is is safe enough for normal driving around 150km?FYI, a fren is selling his year 2000 V6 NA manual for RM18K. the car was placed 3rd (NA manual category) in Vsixers Dragday5. if u are getting a V6 NA auto, then standby about RM4-5K for manual gbox conversion. for SEi NA auto, its more or less the same, but usually lesser. for turbo transplant, there are several options. 1. 6 piston turbos - 6A12T engines from Galant, Eterna 2. 4 piston turbos - 4G63T engines from Evo123, RVR, Eclipse, VR4 for no.1, its plug n play. good workshop will can finish it in 3 days. day 1 take out all, day 2 put in all, day 3 wiring. halfcut prices are around RM7.5-8.5K. for no.2, it requires some mod but everything can be done legally. the cheapest would be RVR at around RM4.5-6.5K, Eclipse RM5-7K, Evo123 RM9-12K. halfcut prices. installation should be around RM1.5K, gbox locking RM300, wear n tear parts RM1K, stainless steel IC & piping RM1K, stainless steel exhaust RM700, good 2ndhand Japan muffler RM300. i would advise either get a perdana NA with manual transmission or if planning to play turbo, get RVR is very good already. there are basically 2 RVR models to choose from. RVR with TMIC (top mount intercooler) and RVR with FMIC (front mount intercooler) which halfcuts here likes to call "RVR RS". there is no RVR RS, its just a late model RVR with FMIC, white meter and higher hp. |
