Just got back my set from Nokia Care, Plaza Berjaya. Change the back cover and camera protective screen for FREE after kaw kaw complaint to Nokia Careline about the spare part replacement is so long too wait. Heard from Nokia Care ppl there, they took a brand new set and change the cover and camera for me only.....HEHEHEHE.

Can anyone tell me which gps software have china maps. Cos nokia dun have  hangzhou maps. I am going to china hangzhou and like to try using the gps over there. Any recommend.Does garmin have china maps.

Are u using the malsingmaps map?...i tried installing the 4.10.60 before..it screwed my device ID..haven't tried the .80

Added: Just tried upgrading from .20 to .80...don't know why..it screwed the whole program...shoot...now i have to reinstall it again...

the converter software is free right?

sounds good... then i think worth considering for N95, the only thing lacking in my opinion is touchscreen...or else it will be one heck of a good phone...

Is the new software out already on official NSU? Just install the new Garmin XT software works like charm. Locking  time to GPS signal have improved but still got problem with my V-Cool tint.

Anyone been to Nokia Service Centre and updated the N95 8Gb to latest firmware which was released on last week?

Please share as I am thingking to goto Nokia Service Centre to get mine upgraded

eh? I actually disconnected the cable and took out my battery and it was fine... did it for more than 5 times till i gave up to upgrade it using my laptop and went for my desktop which is using xp instead

only certain versions of vista is it? I am using vista as well. Updated both my phone and my dad's phone. Didnt have to take out the battery to reset the phone.

i wondering.. if all my program in mass memory, after update firmware will they be flushed away? if no, then how the OS know what program i have installed?

and how to backup the program i have installed?

Hi guys,

I've just done the update to V 20.0.016 and suffered similar issues to others.

1/ backed up my phone using PC Suite 6.86.9.0 - the backup was about 695mb and took forever !
2/ installed V 20.0.016 using NSU 2.0.16.0 - no issues, but it did take a looooong time. It appeared to get stuck at times, but I just waited and it installed ok. Probably took about an hour at this stage, but I was using a standalone Pentium 3 600mhz laptop to do it !
3/ reinstalled everything to my phone EXCEPT Settings from the backup using PC Suite - I did this as lots of people had mentioned that reinstalling settings from an old install onto a new install would cause problems - well basically nothing worked, even though all my files were back on the phone, so I....
4/ reinstalled Settings from the backup as well.

Everything then appeared to work, but a reboot gave me the error about 'Installing' and 'Untrusted Software' and 'to Install go to Application Manager'. When I checked Appl Manager I had a few .SIS files which hadn't installed, and it looked like I had the dreaded 'Themes DIY' problem of having it installed on the Mass Memory instead of the phone memory. I manually installed the .SIS files from Appl Manager but still had the 'Untrusted Software' on startup.

I fluffed around deleting Theme DIY files from E:/Private/10207114/Import but to no avail. I also reinstalled Themes DIY on the phone memory without luck. I then had to manually delete the Themes DIY files from the phone memory as well.

So with what I though was all the 'Themes DIY' files off the phone I still had the 'Untrusted Software' message and 'Installing' delay on reboot. 

What did I have to do to finally fix it ??     

Simply delete all the .SIS files from E:/PRIVATE/10202DCE and my problem is solved. 

No more 'Installing' message on bootup, free memory has gone up, and response time is back to normal ! All Apps appear to be working as designed.

My N95 8GB phone battery can be fully charged from empty to full in 1 hour. Is this normal or some problem to my battery?

The battery indicator bar also inaccurate, it always hold long on full bar or -1, -2 (from full). But once the level indicator reach half bar, then it is so fast drop to 2 bar or 1 bar.

anyone realise emtueb cannot play youtube clip already? i think youtube blocked.
