I've tried Evergreen Hotel. The only thing to shout about is their free internet access. Other than that, it is alright.

For convenience or any other factors, which do you guys / girls recommend;

1) Northam Hotel
2) Traders Hotel
3) Laurel Evergreen Hotel

I reckon all above are below RM300 per night.

@Putraskyline : Noted. Do you know what's the condition like? As in, does it look / feel old and such? If I'm not mistaken, it is near to Gurney Drive, right?

Hotel interior and exterior are still in good shape but I found out the room decor and amenities a bit tired (I'm commenting by comparing to those 5* Batu Feringhi hotel). With 200++/ night its still good bargain especially you get very spacious room with jacuzzi. Yeah its near to Gurney Drive. Actually whats your plan visiting Penang?

Mainly go there to makan. Hehe. And probably a lil sight seeing if got time. I'll be there for 3d 2n. So, just wondering whether it's a good thing to stay around Gurney Drive or in the city (like Traders Hotel).

@DarkNite : Cleanliness, service and location of the hotel. I guess the hotels in the list I gave are pretty different from one another. Just wanna know whether how the night life along Gurney Drive or should I just stick to in the city.

Ya la bro, they each have their own uniqueness of convenience or any other factors.

Gurney drive night life is different from the city night life also.  laugh.gif

Would it be overkill if one to go to Penang for holidays for 4D3N instead of 3D2N?

I would say not. Usually I will go Penang if I can get 4d3n or 5d4n at Bt Feringghi.

Noted. Shall revise my plan again. Hehe.

@AtresiaAni : With such a big group, maybe you should try looking at Vistana Apartments at Bukit Jambul area.

Dear Guys,

How is TuneHotel in Penang? Any review on this? Hows the parking over there? Was it strategically located on some special makan spot or tourist spot nearby?
*
It is located beside New World Park. Hence, there're ample amount of parking spaces. But I can't remember what's the rate like.

Why not? laugh.gif So, can anyone answer my question? Checked with Agoda and it's around RM 405 for 2 nights at G Hotel and RM 285 for nights at Northam.
*
That's cheap for G Hotel! Normally, at that rate, it's for 1 night only.

I'm thinking of trying Cititel Hotel for my next visit. Any comments/feedbacks about it? Is it clean/decent/comfortable? Are there any parking lots for hotel guests?

Most of the hotels in Penang are fully booked for this weekend.
Anyone knows what is the reason?

I ended up booking at butterworth instead.

Perhaps it's a long weekend since Friday is a holiday.

I do not have much things to do in Penang except for eating. And I did go to Penang a couple of times last year. So, I'm wondering if 2D1N sufficient... just to relax.
