planning a trip to penang in august... i think 2nd or 3rd week before the merdeka celebration.

Any recommended place to stay in town? I'll be driving up with a GPS (hopefully). Going with my girlfriend. Hoping to find somewhere near town and easy access to all the happening places.

Added on June 12, 2009, 3:46 pmbtw, budget around 150 per night for hotel room... If can, lower still. Cos we'll be spending most of our time outside exploring.

try B-suite and kristal suite, though not in town (it's at bayan lepas)
it is near queensbay and can easily get to town
