About my stay , definitely i will use airbnb to book , as i had browse thru airbnb , staying for about 4d 3N , it just cost less than RM 400 in a good and maybe comfortable homestay + most importantly is private bathroom   

Anyway , which area or around which area i shall book  for my homestay ? shall i book early in order to ensure i got place to stay during my visit to penang 

Hi everyone, I plan to travel to Penang by ETS train from KL Sentral for a 3D2N trip early Nov (tentatively 5th Nov to 7th Nov) for first time. Appreciate if can share me some recommendation for 6 pax :-

1) Transportation - Currently still undecided between renting a car/taking grab or uber/public transportation. Prefer more economical method. As this will mainly be a food trip, I think will not travel very extensively, probably will go less than 10 stops for each day.

2) Accomodation - Budget per night limit is RM 300 for 6 pax. Prefer location not faraway. Not sure if want to take homestay or hotel.

If staying at Tanjung Tokong, will I be far from all the good food of Penang?

I have only been to Ferringhi once and I remember it's hard to find a parking. Is it still hard to find a parking lot?

If I am to do an evening in Ferringhi, how should I do it? I mean, it's a big place so... :

1. Which is the better part to stroll around? <-- only those pasar malam selling tourist trap stuff.
2. From where can I access the beach, the hotels seem to get them covered from the main road.<-- not sure
3. Will taking a bus easier? <-- nope unless u are staying at town area where they have the free CAT shuttle bus https://mypenang.gov.my/culture-heritage/he...s/free-cat-bus/
4. Should I drop in one of the seafood restaurant? Which are the recommended and reasonably priced? (Just a video of baked crab by vlogger about Beach Corner.) Or I should just head back other area - like Sea Pearl Lagoon as recommended earlier? <-- sorry but i dont eat seafood in penang island .  I prefer to go to tambun/perai area.

Im planning to go to penang on 26 to 29 december (after christmas). Is it a good time to go? I mean will it be super crowded? What about the weather at penang in december?

Planning for 3days 2night.

Depart from KL. Is bus or train more convenient?

<-- if for townarea use train~ take ferry and you will reach town directly~ use grab to go to your hotel.

Which area should I stay if I want to be walking distance to murals , kek Lok si, street food , heritage site ? Must cover famous ho chiak food also hahaha.
