has anyone here tried a fuel injection cleaner before?

edit: darn it...double posted. shinjite, my engine was just rebuilt so I dun think I wanna decarbonize. Just worry the flood affected the fuel injection system. Thinking of cleaning early just in case...

I don't mean that kind of cleaning where you remove a part of the engine and wash by hand. Its using a fuel addictive to clean your EFI system.

There's a guy selling it on garage sale

how much cost to clean injectors and decarbonize drool.gif
whats the main effect after decarbon?

QUOTE(Arkaine @ Mar 17 2008, 07:52 PM)
I thought the more the better... laugh.gif
btw still dunno how to DIY doh.gif
*
the purpose of the magnet is to break the molecule to smaller bits.. if the 1st few pass already make the hydrocarbon chain small, i dont think additional magnet will have more effect..
btw, to install is very easy.. u ned 1 piece magnet and hamburger the fuel line in the middle with the magnet and make sure both magnet are pushing each other or same pole.. then tie them, and u r good to go

X1R is different. That focus on where the black oil protects...the pistons. Just enhances the protection and lubrication. Doesn't clean your fuel injection system.
