It's uncertain whether CDA is canon or not, but it really does add substance into post-0080.

Zero the R... well it's not that hard to believe since Neo Zeon is famed for producing large MAs. They did later produce the Neul Ziel for Gato, then the Queen Mantha; later Char's NZ made the alpha Azeiru as well.

As for the paedophile claims, I don't really buy that. It's just people making fun of Char - asking one for her age doesn't mean that he's interested sexually in her. In fact in CDA it's most of the girls which include the various Zeonic lieutenants who throw themselves at Char instead of the other way round.

I'd say it's more like a one-sided infatuation from Haman's perception rather than anything else. How did Haman change into a psychotic maniac? Katejina showed that it's possible, if anything Katejina is even worse and more crazy. The facts in CDA doesn't really have to be accepted as the hard and fast rule since it's not official canon material. Nevertheless it fits in the gap nicely (apart from M'quve of course) so I'm quite ok with that. More absurd stuff would be the horrendously large and powerful MAs of the AoZ era which mysteriously disappeared in Zeta.

Standing together and taking photos don't mean that there is something serious going on. Of course, without canon material about the gap between 0080 and 0087 we have no idea what Haman and Char did back then. Our best bet now is of course the complete storyline of CDA yet we all know it's not necessarily canon either. For what it's worth, Char showed no signs of serious commitment to any other female characters as his Achilles' heel is still his infatuation for Lalah. Maybe he did fool around with Haman just for the sake of achieving his aims, we all know he's capable of such dirty mind tricks... At the end of the day, all we can do is speculate
