Hoho... finally the 1st page of my phone is clean except the top status bar and the few page dots...

Detail steps since there are new guys here [but I'm not gonna tell you how to SSH, how to replace icon, how to set permission, etc.]. Also note that this mini tutorial is applicable for 1.1.3 and 1.1.4, for earlier firmware, you have to use something call rXXX [can't remember the app's name].

1. Unzip this attachment
2. Change the "Blank.app" into " .app" [yes, there's a space in front of the dot]
3. SSH the " .app" into /Applications
4. Drag the transparent icon [should be right after your last visible icon on your phone] onto the top left corner of the 1st page
5. Drag all other 1st page icons to 2nd page
6. Replace the icons of Phone/Mail/Safari/iPod with the "icon.png" in the "Blank.app" [remember to rename/backup your original icon]
7. Restart your phone

Add http://kankon.org/kankon to your Installer and use the customized Customize under kankon's repository, works under 1.1.4

I don't have such problem, the Chinese titled MP3 shown its name even before I install iCosta... Did you change the Asian font to Chinese in Settings-General-International?

I won't touch Caterpillar anymore... last time I have to restore my phone coz the bloody Caterpillar f*cked up my phone settings and render my phone in the "wheel of death" when I uninstall Caterpillar...

Somemore I still dun believe that the app is justifying its USD45 tag...

But why don't you SSH that folder B into someplace in your phone and sync later when you got back to your PC where folder A is?

I tried Pysl and yes it did enable you to hide SMS. When you receive SMS from a person in your Pysl "balcklist", the SMS will go into Pysl with no trace in the normal SMS app. However, when you write SMS to that balcklisted recipient, the SMS will still be in the SMS app until you close the SMS app. Once you close the SMS app, that "secret" SMS will only appear in Pysl. rolleyes.gif

There are also function to "technically" block out [i.e. SMS does not appear in SMS app and Pysl delete the SMS for you].

Looks like we will have to pay to use Pysl in the future, if the price is not like Catrepillar range, I'll pay. thumbup.gif

Like lots of thing in this world, there are pro and cons... latest unlocking software should not be downgrading your BL without your attention. However, to be on the safe side, always stay away from "Do It All" and check advance option before proceeding with your unlock.

I've managed to change the name of SMS ringtones...

Here's how...

1. SSH into /private/var/Applications/Preferences.app/English.lproj and copy the Sounds.string file to your PC
2. convert the Sounds.string file using http://140.124.181.188/~khchung/cgi-bin/plutil.cgi
3. open the converted Sounds.string file using WordPad or any other editor
4. change the SMS ringtone names into your preference and save changes
5. copy back the amended Sounds.string file back to your phone (make a copy of your original Sounds.string file, e.g. rename it into Sounds.string.original)
6. done!

All 6 SMS ringtones are located at /System/Library/Audio/UISounds with names from sms-received1.caf to sms-received6.caf [with corresponding name Tri-Tone etc.], Google for ways to create SMS ringtones if you have no idea how to do it...

iPhone's SMS ringtones are xxx.caf, you need to convert your file to caf (search for that).

Simply type what you want your SMS ringtone to appear in your phone, e.g. I replaced Horn with Sheep / Announcement with Electronic
